Walker/West would certainly get my vote! Fact that Walker has stood his ground against the teacher union thugs and has a billion dollar surplus (look up the word surplus libs) that he plans on giving back to the citizens via tax cuts.

Ted Cruz with Dr. Carson for VP would be nice since Dr. Carson hasn't been tainted by politics inside the beltway and could/would look at issues from a more common man (albeit a highly intelligent one) point of view, making an excellent addition to someone like Cruz who calls the problems inside the beltway as he sees them (a rare trait)

Walker has a lot of upside. He has delivered on reduced spending and reduced taxation. Problem is he's not well known outside the Midwest.

West likewise has a name recognition problem. He'd have to spend a lot of time introducing himself.

Carson has a problem with an ambivalent position on the Second Amendment.

Rand Paul and Cruz remain the front runners.

    West is a loose cannon.

From his neo-McCarthyism (accusing 80 Democrats of being Communists)...to his call for the Media to be censored for "national security" reasons.

He'd turn off Moderates, Independents, Libertarians...might even scare a few Sane Conservatives.

As for Scott Walker? He's a likely candidate. But he'd also do more to energize the American labor union movement since John L. Lewis, since it would be abjectly apparent...with no denial possible (as other Republican Nominees try)...

that Walker's priority as President would be to destroy unions in America.

BTW, naturally none of my criticisms of West or Walker would bother the Far Right...in fact, they would embrace them. But they are quite self-delusional and cannot imagine that they are NOT in the majority ideologically in this country.

    And they hate each other.

Oh, the 2016 Republican Primaries are going to be fun. :)

    No need to destroy unions.

Other than public employees, unions are as dead as OJ's acting career.

I can't believe the GOP could be that desperate ...

... but I can always hope.

Screw VP. Allen West would make an awesome president. When was the last time we had a president who had any balls? Reagan? It's certainly been awhile.

    Yes, pleeeeeeaaaaassseee.

Unfortunately, Ol' Scottie is likely to be indicted soon, so I don't think he'll make it to the big stage.

How About Cruz and Allen? That could possibly end up being the largest margin of victory for the new Democratic Party candidate EVER!!

That way, you don't have to vote for either the turd sandwich or the giant (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), they would both be on the same ticket. :D

You know, if it wasn't for constant resorting to name calling on a middle school level the liberals could at least present a more mature case.

naw, that's not a good ticket. Scott Walker currently doesn't look like a winning candidate, Allen West tries to hard to appeal to the base with provocative statements that distance other groups.

(look up the word surplus libs)

I looked it up and it said "The entire country had a surplus until Bush took office". Sorry, but that's what it said.

Rule #1 for liberals caught in a discussion requiring intellect - Blame everything on Bush. If that fails, blame Bush. Repeat if necessary.

It will be atleast a generation (waiting for a certain generation to die off) well into the 2030s...before the Republican Party would name an African-American as their Presidential Nominee.

My prediction for the GOP 2016 Nominee...Walker or someone like him,....i.e.

    1. Governor...not a House member or Senator.

    2. White...naturally. Cuts out Susana Martinez or Bobby Jindal.

    3. Male....ditto Martinez.

    4. Moderate who fakes being Tea Party during the Primaries.

I'm sorry, are you new here? Like new to the country? Perhaps new to life? The GOP tried to nominate a black guy for president just two years ago and your racist ass party did their predictable hatchet job to take him out of the game. Liberals hate black conservatives more than they hate anything. Because their mere existence ruins the liberal narrative. And just like they did to Clarence Thomas, they played the same predictable card against Herman Cain. You can't call him racist so you have to call him a pervert. And let's not pretend that you actually believe any of the nonsense you accused him of when your party held up Bill Clinton as the standard bearer of all things Democrat.

    Why would that be?

    ******

As for Walker, I think he's a pretty likely pick. I think after the bigger guys pick each other off, like Paul and Cruz, Walker might be the only qualified person left standing.

As for West, I don't see it, although he is, to his credit, anti-amnesty, unlike Walker, and every other major Republican contender. That's something I can't figure out. The base is overwhelmingly opposed to amnesty, but there is not a single big name GOP contender who doesn't support amnesty.

Herman Cain was a joke. His 9/9/9 policy was laughable. His open marriage was a huge liability.

This. And I am not even a GOPer. Christie is your best shot, if bridge-gate would
    go away.

You only say that because he's black and doesn't vote Democrat. Don't delude yourself.

I strongly disagree. Christie would be the next Bob Dole or John McCain, excepting that he's not as rich or old. He would fail to actually rally the base, and wouldn't have as strong an independent or moderate appeal as suggested.

I think personal charisma is now more important than actual policy. When Obama was nominated he was by far one of the most liberal Senators, but through his charisma and personal appeal, he was actually seen to be fairly moderate and McCain was seen as far right. To a lesser extent, the same thing happened with Romney. Somehow actual moderates get smeared into being radicals these days.

So I actually think Paul has a better chance of the nomination, and of winning the general election.

Sowell/Carson would be a good ticket.

    - - - Updated - - -

What do you dislike about 999? Less power in the hand of your rulers to play games with the tax code in exchange for kickback campaign cash?

    - - - Updated - - -

"Moderates" (nothing moderate about our spending), allow themselves to be shamed into a corner because they don't stick up for their principles. They are scared of them. They deserve to lose for that reason.
