There are two things in this world which divide men; Religion and Politics. Always has been and always will be; its a constant that will outlive us all.

Whatever we can do to stymie the Washington Dunce Parade has got to be to our benefit, just due to mathematical probabilities, if nothing else...

    ^+1 to this.

How many more laws do we need? Laws only limit freedom. They don't create any. The Democrat obsession with lawmaking comes from a need to micromanage every miniscule aspect of society. It is the very antithesis to freedom. It is complete and total control of everything.

    .....

    1) Thank you for admitting that thr republican agenda is one of obstruction, lies, and destruction. America already knows this and will vote accordingly.

    2) With over 400 bills being passed by republicans this year pertaining toreproductive issues, draconian methods of vaginally invasive tools to ascertain pregnancy, the bill to give women 20 weeks starting from her last period to get an abortion, to forcefully mandate a screening of the fetus complete with a forced listening to the heartbest, plus a lecture on what is happening with the fetus is all draconian, callous, unusually judgmental, and an utter invasion of the woman's privacy in a private matter between her doctor and herself. Plus we have republican shock jocks calling college girls "sluts"- "prostitutes"- and "wanting videos of her having sex with men" because she spoke on the need for BC pills for college infirmaries. The words and actions, bills passed to the detriment of women all point to 58% of this country has lost their right to privacy and medical needs because of the current republican anti-abortion faction that has an unusual interest in females' uteruses.
Also: blacks and Latinos have always felt comfortable with Dems. and will continue to be because the Dems include them in American life.

    3) The Dems in the White House and Congress have wasted much time in trying to compromise with republicans to no avail. You guys will lose in November, and you brought it all on yourselves. Now you must quit whining and accept the very real consequences of your actions.

The U.S. Senate has not passed a budget in 3 years!!!!! Today is the anniversary of there last passed budget... 3 years ago. They didn't even do it when they had full control of the House of Representatives.

Our Constitution allows States to make abortions as (*)(*)(*)(*) difficult to get as the people in that State democratically decide. Who are you to argue with the majority opinion of a State on how they decide to regulate abortion?

There is no federal law permitting vaginal probes. That is a state Issue and no one is going to hold the Republicans in Congress in DC responsible for what the people in other States do with their women's vaginas. It is none of your business liberal. Why are you such a busybody in other people's affairs and why do you lie and try to say that Republicans representing the People of their State in Statehouses has anything to do with what is going on in DC?

Blacks and Hispanics are largely socialist in culture and are getting bribed by Democrats with free (*)(*)(*)(*). You are bribing minorities for their votes. You don't include them in American life. You want them complacently drugged and paid tribute and as long as they keep their gang warfare within closely confined housing projects then Democrats will be plenty happy.

You are sick bastards, every single one of you and I can't wait for the fiscal disaster that is unfolding in Greece now to consume California and provide a clear object lesson to the American People just where America as a whole is headed under liberal domination and tyranny.

This is absolute proof of just how stupid liberals really are. They are so dumb they don't even know the difference between a State's Rights Issue and a Federal Government Issue. That shows how ignorant and dumb they are about even the most basic of civics. They have no understanding at all of how our Government or how Federalism works. What a crock.

No one is going to hold the Federal Government Republicans responsible for what happens in some Southern State that doesn't like abortion because it won't affect their daily lives at all except for the people in that State.

Ignorance knows no bounds with liberals.

Agreed, the republicans like laws just as much as the democrats, it was a partisan shot that I shouldn't have taken, personally I think gridlock is best for the country, at least business knows what the future holds!

i fear that lawmakers want everyone to become criminals so as to make it easier to destroy your freedoms.

As far as I can tell, both parties are dysfunctional. They always have been.

When people post threads like this, I take it with more than a grain of salt.
    NPR, lol....

Liberals/dems are moochers, socialists, and communists.
Republicans, libertarians, and conservatives are capitalists.

This is a capitalist country. Commies can leave - yesterday.
They won't take over this country, and we're tossing that Marxist Obama OUT in November.

    NPR......

As bad as all of these things, most Republicans are proud of these attributes, although they might rephrase it a little differently into something sounding more patriotic and noble.

    You are mistaken about that.

There is a lot of difference between Republicans who want smaller government and Democrats who want to grow the government.

Can you show us one law that republicans have sought that would limit government and not force a further wedge between the middle class and the wealthy!

The American Enterprise Institute isn't exactly liberal, so this is a bit surprising.

Anyway, filibustering, in general, seems to be an antiquated part of our system. Other systems have equivalents, but overall, the whole concept made more sense when the country was smaller in population.

Nowadays, filibustering panders to special interests more than it prevents mob rule. Tyranny of the majority is still a problem, but tyranny of minorities seems to be a bigger issue in our system.

Why would anyone other than a Marxist want to drive a wedge between the middle class and the wealthy?

In America we celebrate wealth and achievement as a good thing that everyone should try to imitate not destroy.

Progressive leftists should be quite thankful for representatives who obstruct their anti-constitutional, authoritarian, nanny state agenda...
were it not for them, liberty and rights loving American individualists would have burned this country to the ground...
    with them in it....decades ago.

How about I think it's a good thing that Repubs are doing this. We've been "compromising" our way to socialism for a long time. It's time, and in fact past time, for such sliding to stop. Had these guys been around in the 1930's we might not have been socked with a SS medicare debt that is literally bankrupting our country. Had they been around in the 1950's, we might have been able to lower income taxes to the point that rich people got to keep their money in the US. had the US economy been unleashed in the 1950's we probably would be 30 years ahead of where we are now, technologically. But whatever, the most important thing is that in the 1950's people didn't fight about how bad things were.

Both parties are extremely liberal now. There is very, very little difference. Repubs do not want smaller govt anymore. They have jumped on the "welfare handouts to buy elections" wagon with the dems since 2000. The dems invented buying themselves re-election via handouts and it is the only way to get elected anymore so the repubs have joined on.

You sound as if you think the Republican politicians in Washington represent the views of most Republican voters and I don't think they do.

They are trying desperately to manipulate the vote to keep themselves in power but I think a rift if growing between establishment Republicans who spend most of their lives in Washington and rest of us who don't.

As for Democrats yes they are the party of big government and ever growing government handouts.

And they agree with each other on that from the head of the Democrat Party to the tail where the rattlers are.
