    The law allows us to prevent them from coming across our borders illegally. No where does it say we have to let them in.

    I don’t understand why the president has the power alone. What is congress doing? What have they done?

    It’s not mentioned in the constitution that I am aware of The president doesn’t make law

    I think Mayor Adams is looking at this all wrong. This is a golden opportunity to empty our prisons. Drop them off in front of the Texas state Republican committee with voter registration forms pre-filled.

    They'll fit right in and be welcomed with open arms.

    Correct.

    It is because the Democrats in control at the federal level refuse to perform their constitutional duty to protect the States from invasion. Thus, Abbott is sending the invasion into the backyards of those same Democrats who want the invasion to occur so long as it occurs "elsewhere".

    Sometimes people have to learn a lesson the hard way...

    Well, you are correct. I should have said the federal government has plenary power over anything the state or anybody else tries to do. It is in the Constitution and simply says that Congress will "establish a uniform rule of naturalization." Of course the president executes the laws pretty much any way he sees fit..... sometimes.
