horseshit. But, even if some wanted to repeal the second amendment, it would be through the amendment process, which is a constitutional process. The only person I've heard of lead trying to terminate the constitution was a Republican.

As far as Twitter goes, during the period Musk referred to, Trump was president. Besides, when it comes to the first amendment, that is Twitter's right, not that of the members.

    Murder does
    Signing a civil contract doesn’t

ANY couple can enter any civil contract they like and title the agreement however they like. Government limitation of recognition of civil contracts as marriage when its between a man and woman because only men and women can procreate, is a perfectly logical foundation. Government has no concern if two people are going to shack up, rub genitals and achieve orgasms. They do have a concern when genital rubbing has the potential of procreation. Who is the daddy, who is responsible for providing and caring for the baby, etc.
The biblical god didnt limit marriage to men and women to punish the homosexuals. It was all a part of the "go forth and multiply" policy.

First Congress appointed a Chaplin to lead the Congress in prayer and paid for bibles to be distributed to citizens.
What are some republicans trying to do? Limit marriage to a man and woman?

An atheist makes no sense to me because an atheist disbelieves something due to lack of evidence yet believes in things even though there's a lack of evidence. Some atheists were formerly lovers of religion but became haters of religion.

And some are literally trying to uphold the passage in the Declaration of Independence which decries upholding life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I don't believe in God 'cause there's no evidence but I believe in aliens, for example?

Some atheists believe Trump is guilty even if there's no evidence to support that but some atheists don't believe the 2020 election was undemocratic because there's no evidence to support that.

There's plenty of evidence supporting Trump's guilt of many things.

The pilgrims and puritans who fled from Anglican Church dominated England were highly religious. The pilgrims and puritans believed religion played a major role in gov't but just didn't like the Anglican Church's domination, er, major role in English gov't...Disallowing one major religion from dominating gov't is what Jefferson was referring to or trying to avoid when he coined the phrase separation of church and state...Atheists, for example, have furthered or transformed the meaning of separation of church and state to mean a complete absence of religion in gov't to further atheists', for example, personal needs.

Why do you only view through a prism of either love or hate. I could care less about your religious belief and faith. If it serves you will good for you glad you follow it's moral and ethical principles. Do you hate atheist because they do not believe in supernatural beings who look over us and we must serve? Does it makes sense to disbelieve in unicorns and moon men?

Not sure of what you're trying to say. It seems to me that "belief" and "scientific" tend to cancel each other out. There is no scientific proof for any of the organized religions.

Atheism is "disbelief in or denial of the existence of God" according to Webster. That's all it says. Atheism is not a religion.

Your god is as imaginary as the kraken is
I don’t care about you book club

There is no logical reason to deny couples from signing a civil document

Weve been over this. Im an atheist. Not my book.

    From BC pagan Roman law.

Mater semper certa est ("The mother is always certain")
"pater semper incertus est" ("The father is always uncertain")
"pater est, quem nuptiae demonstrant" ("father is to whom marriage points")....

Matrimony, Latin root of the word Mater, MOTHER. Men and women joining together to become fathers and mothers to their children.

"matrimonium was then an institution involving a mother, mater. The idea implicit in the word is that a man took a woman in marriage, in matrimonium ducere, so that he might have children by her."

In ancient Mesopotamia men purchased wives. If she didnt produce a child, he was due a refund.

And nothing ever stopped any couple from signing any civil document they like. Here we are talking about tax breaks and governmental entitlements of marriage.

Then stop bringing up the Bible

None of this is irrelevant to US law

Thats false, several states passed laws preventing marriage like contracts for same sex unions. We have been over this. Lying isn’t a good strategy when it is so easily fact checked.
