I have. But you were talking about hospitals, not churches. If they are not actively promoting a particular politic within the specific institution, then it's irrelevant. I've been involved with various Catholic institutions in this country (psych hospitals and welfare outfits) through my work, and in my experience they are always scrupulous about leaving politics and bias out of their 'on the street' care. Unlike Protestants.

 

PP has no participation in politics in any way. PP PAC is a totally separate organization

 

All child abuse issues aside the Catholic church has held a firm moral line unlike many squishy mainline Protestant denominations. I applaud them for that though I don't identify with any particular Christian sect any more.

The Catholic church has been quite moral except when it comes to insulating their priesthood against pedophilia charges, of which they have real problems. Overall in my view, they are much preferable to Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, etc. except in that respect I have already mentioned.

 

Yeah except for that one little thing. For decades they supported the beating of children and systematically kept pedophiles from justice. So very moral except for those little things

PP cannot use any funding it gets for Abortions. It has been that way for as long as they have helped fund it.

PP’s reason for existence is to provide low income women with access to healthcare. Nothing more, nothing less. As is very prevalent via this post, they have done a masterful job of obfuscating that, and for some reason have declared war on woman’s health with the full support of their constituency.

PP is political too. That's the nature of a compromise. Everyone gets something they like and something they hate.

I don't know anything about those. My hypothetical is that the organization does everything PP does except abortion, and it donates to "abstinence" causes and candidates.

But whatever ... Vegas Giants and I have gotten this all worked out. Grant money to the non-political activities of PP in exchange for an equal grant to the NRA for its non-political activities.

The NRA also has a separate PAC. Member dues do not contribute to it.

As a condition of our deal, I propose that we both agree that neither organization is political. Only their PACs are political.
