GOP's Jim Jordan moved to intelligence panel for public impeachment hearings

Money. Donors are drying up for Republican senators facing reelection but Trump has a huge war chest that he promises to use to help those that back him up. Democrat senators would probably do the same.
But if the evidence of wrongdoing gets to the point it can't be ignored they'll drop him faster than lightening and claim their support had been simply to insure fairness. They're all whores.

 

I see the Democrats conducting a Constitutional investigation into high crimes and misdemeanors allegedly committed by a sitting president. I see them gathering facts from witnesses as they should. I see Republicans using every ounce of muscle that have to protect and defend the president. This is neither honorable nor courageous. What individual Democrats may or may not do is beyond this discussion, but safe to say there dishonorable Democrats.

 

Well, it does concern me when the "jurors" in the upcoming "trial" of impeachment are refusing to look at the evidence and proclaiming in advance that they won't convict. They aren't exactly coming across as impartial.

And bragged he pulled it off. Son of a bitch he put Ukraine in it's place. And protected his own son working for a corrupt Ukraine company. I do not give one damn about the IMF. That was tax funds. Appropriated by our congress and set up to go to a corrupt regime. Trump tried to guarantee the corruption was over. And look at the ration of shyt he is getting for his efforts. If Obama made that policy, hang that SOB as well. He is no longer president. And still can be held accountable.

Hell, the Senate refused to look at the evidence room under lock and key presented for Clinton as well. It is not the first time that has happened. Clinton should have served in prison.

 

Hell, Democrats convicted Trump on November 8 of 2016. They commenced impeachment prior to him being sworn into office.

The fact is that neither Trump's vast US investigative and criminal resources, nor those of Ukraine, nor those of China, have uncovered any evidence of criminal behavior by either Biden, nor is there any evidence that either were involved in Trump's extortion of a foreign nation in his failed effort to discredit a political rival.

Neither Biden is a participant in Fake Don's caper, nor are they within the purview of the impeachment inquiry.

Demanding that Chairman Schiff do what Presidents Zelenskiy and Xi refused to do - and Trump has been impotent in doing - is ridiculous.

The desperate attempt at diversion fails. The inquiry shall focus on the allegations of the whistle blower that have been confirmed by multiole expert witnesses under oath.

If Fake Don wants to order AG Barr and his Justice Department to conduct a criminal investigation of Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, or any other American, let him so so.

 

And generate yet another article of impeachment when he does.

 

That is his prerogative.

The biggest in my book would be the Democrats willingness to put illegal ahead of Citizen by ignoring the constitution, and giving criminals sanctuary/protection, taxpayers dollars, healthcare, subsidized rent and food, see California..

It's interesting two different people, on two opposite paths would find almost the same faults with their chosen party's! It's been my experience that the Democratic party is NOTHING like it was in my Mother and Fathers days and that change began under Carter and went full gutter with the era of Clinton corruption.. To be perfectly honest, you and I are never going to experience righteousness in a politician in what time we have left on this earth! So in my case, I'm going to support the dirty corrupt bastard that raises people out of poverty, creates opportunity, wealth and independence, and that's something the Democrats have fought against for a long while now!

 

Ultimately, it is the truth that emerges that matters - which is why some are desperate to hide it, demean it, and/or divert attention from it.

We have yet to see a semblance of a rational, coherent defense strategy.

 

Truth? It doesn't matter WHO the Republicans put on any House panel, committee, or anything else. The 'House' is a lost cause!

REALITY -- with a simple majority vote, the Democrats can impeach Trump, and there's no doubt now that that is exactly what they're going to do. They don't need a 'case', they don't need 'evidence', they don't need 'proof' or ANYTHING! All they need to do is have a simple voting majority, and they can do that, because Democrats took over the House in the last election.

The House can impeach a president for any reason imaginable -- for ANY reason they like. The only forthcoming 'action' that has any importance or validity is what happens in the SENATE. That is where the REALITY starts and the bullshit stops....

 

Not really. It would have to be high crimes & misdemeanors as noted in Art 2, Sec 4, or violating his oath of office. Anything else would not survive a pre-trial motion to the Chief Justice (who presides over the senate trial) as a Bill of Attainder. Attempting to ruin one's reputation thru congressional proceedings without cause is strictly verboten.
