When I lived in Ca. the word was, "Its all Granola." "What ain't fruits or nuts, is flakes!" And I left there 30 years ago. Seems like the only change is that things got worse.
Public schools and public school teachers are part of the liberal Democrat establishment. So I think Brown is only bluffing about cutting education. Next he'll threaten to close all the fire and police departments also because he's knows gullible voters will freak out and approve the tax increases.
Brown is an idiot. The only smart thing he ever did in his whole life was have Linda Ronstadt move in with him decades ago...but even she finally left. But Californians elected him again, so screw them...they can squirm in their actions.
I say do it Jerry! It WILL come out you had many other options but YOU made the decision to cut schools instead. Hey I have an idea! Dump the High Speed Rail Project and save the state $98 billion and you won't have to cut schools. He could also add a state wire transfer fee for money wired out of the country.
