Woohoo! More slippery slope fallacies! My favorite irrational argument.

Tell me, have you been able to find an example of where pedophilia has ever became legal because gay marriage was legalized?

Can people legally have sex with kids? Stupid comparison then huh?

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. So much for his song and dance about staying out of the presidential race because he wanted to continue serving the wants of the people of NJ.

It's a shame, too. I really wanted to vote for him in 2016 if he'd have just stuck to his word.

read the article and also pay attention to the topic headline

Christie VETO'D it as in it's done.

so, for people who engage in gay sex, and want to be classified a new race or gender, the people now must decide if they are in fact a different race or gender from everyone else

So if Georgia's legislature re-institutes slavery, you're fine with it?

The wants of the people of NJ? Care to put it up for a vote in that state? I guarantee you the people vote it down like they did in California and Massachusetts.

The only places where gay marriage is allowed are in states where their legislatures have rammed it down the citizen's throats.

It was never voted on in Massachusetts, however public opinion was in favor.

    Don't be ridiculous.

There's a huge difference in granting rights opposed to taking them away, which the right seems to want to do on several issues.

So if the people vote to enslave a group you're fine with that?

    Read what he said

You should give them a big pat on the back for restricting the liberties of minorities because we think they are yucky

His sarcastic tone exposed a lazy liberal argument that can be easily exploited. That was kind of the point.

Lazy general arguments from liberals are my favorite :D

Not yet because sexual preference has never been declared to be a civil right.

Until the latest ruling from the most overturned court in the nation :bounce:

Is homosexual marriage illlegal in a majority of states? Yep sure is. Yet you support overturning those laws don't you?

You can't hide behind laws that protect sexual preferences you like and want to abolish those you don't like.

    Nice try :)

Its really sad how easily your arguments fall apart on this issue.

Public opinion numbers mean (*)(*)(*)(*). Numbers can be made to say anything you want. Putting it up to a vote is the only litmus test.

73.349% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

That's not what you said. You said the people could basically go to hell, because it's their representatives who have the right to determine what is right or wrong for them.

I live in Massachusetts. Most people don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*). The only reason California voted against it is because of the money the Mormon church put into the prop.

That's not what I said at all. What are you in kindergarten?

Elected representatives are just that, they represent the people that voted for them. Dah!

Go Christie. Once again being a badass. Talk about the best possible presidential candidate going to waste.

Really? It's the Mormon's fault? Reality check.

The people opposing Prop 8 thought they had it in the bag when Obama ran for POTUS at the same time. They were sorely disappointed when their proposition got turned away by black and Hispanic voters. I guess that whole hopey-changey feeling didn't carry over to make them change their core beliefs. Something virtually unheard of in a combined election cycle.

No, you lost the vote in SoCal where the Mormon church is no where near as solid as the Catholic church.

The media found a convenient scape-goat and ran with it. More money was spent in defeating Prop 8 than was spent in passing it.

He is letting the people vote on it because he knows they are as homophobic as he is, and will vote it down.

Love your AV. In the words of Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting a different result."

Pretty much describes US foreign policy from the Vietnam War to present.

And sounds like Obama's under a lot of pressure to repeat the cycle.
