A little more vindication for those who didnt swallow the big lie, and a dose of humble pie for those who have been claiming to be smarter than thou and pushing this farce all along.

Some of us have pointed out all along that man was simply over reaching by trying to answer something we obviously didnt have enough knowledge of to answer. The bold confirms that stance.

And of course here is the admission of another stance those of us "deniers" have said all along. It's about the funding.

Im sure the last couple of people still holding onto the train as it's leaving the station will chime in and decry this guy as a kook or whatnot..it's expected. It wont change the stance he is taking however.

lots of good validation here. he still believes there is some merit to mans pollution, and it's possible contributions...but he seems to be honest enough, and not so embroiled in the agenda that he wont be honest about exactly where we stand with regards to our knowledge.

To the rest of my fellow "stupid deniers", enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you didnt buy the BS.

Scientists don't go into science to scam money from us, that's what business people do.

As for religion, conservatives are always telling us we have to be religious or we're evil, so why not have a religion based on something that actually exists? (and is important)

Nope, but they obviously do worry about losing their funding once they have it, as confirmed by Lovelock.

I have never been of the opinion that we "know" Global Warming is caused by man. I remember when that volcano went bezerk in Iceland and they said it released the equivalent of all the cars in China for a year. Seemed a good case for doubt.

Therefore I am 100% behind alternative energy sources. I mean, it's not like I'm stupid or blinded by political ideology or something!

No problem with being responsible. I just never bought into the fear campaign, and I always thought we were overreaching to call ourselves "experts" in this field when we have 0 other planets we can compare to. It's all guesswork, and I'm ok with the common sense parts of it..recycling, more efficiency, littering and deforestation..but things like Carbon credits, more taxes and such betrayed this and turned it into a financial scam to me.

I agree, most things that end with end of the world through non religional things are basically shiz, and even the God related things are shady sometimes.
