I didn't claim that "strict" per se was THE answer; and you will NOT see me make that claim. (Although things may need to be even MORE strict, those aren't the ONLY aspects related to better solutions.)

And while you're at it, please define "strict"... as it pertains to firearms regulations/laws.

    Who's saying that? I'm not.
No. There should be no compromise on basic rights and there should be no
restrictions on firearm ownership. Doesn't matter.

neither liberty nor safety. Ben Franklin

Not true, a firearm can be made for under 20$.

    No Prohibition of Gun Ownership.
    No Prohibition of Open Carry.
    No Prohibition of Concealed Carry

High Crime the Unlawful Discharge of a firearm
High Crime the reckless or accidental discharge of a fire arm, even for a Vice President.
High Crime the threat of the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
High Crime must include mandatory jail time, even for a Vice President.

    In Short,
you take the responsibility to hold a firearm, you are responsible for it's discharge. No Accidents.

Strict would mean any laws that abridge the right to own firearms of any sort.

So, you say your not saying we arm everyone and allow things to escalate, but you ALSO don't compromise?!

How do you possibly think that will work?

Say what you want... but REGULATING things is within the scope of what the U.S. Constitution calls for.

Laws can be improved; I'm absolutely certain of that.

No sorry, but the second amendment is quite clear on this. And the constitution is written in a way to limit the government. Not the people.

Maybe youre talking about a different constitution, but that's how the U.S. constitution works.

It's your 'interpretation'. The laws will eventually change; nothing is written in perfectly indelible stone.

Yes, I'm able to read the constitution just fine, as well as the federalist papers that give us an insight into why it was written the way it was.

And fortunately for you, you are correct because there is an amendment clause in the constitution which allows us to change it.

I realize I'm not exactly with the supreme court on this, but they sold this country out many many years ago by simply refusing to go by what the constitution says.

Court battles and deliberations will continue. Your view of what should be isn't all that will ultimately be considered.

The laws WILL change and fit society as they must; that is only a matter of time.

Gun control again? I control my guns quite well thank you. It's the *******'s criminals who use gun's in the commission of a crime that need to pay a VERY STIFF price for their ILLEGAL use of a firearm whom should be concerned NOT the law abiding citizen,

What's really cool about our Founding Fathers is that they used the
most technologically advanced weapons they had at their disposal.

We should all follow their example.
