Nobody said "lunge" except you, I said he took two more steps toward the guy on the ground and hitched up his pants.

He was a handicapped older man -- but apparently because he is not a badass street fighter like you, in your not humble opinion he should just be a man and take whatever beating some feral thug feels like dishing out.

He took two more steps towards the guy on the ground, or did that not show on the video you watched?

I would most definitely not find my life threatened. Would you?

You say I "seem to think"? Man! You're about ... what is it... 5... 6 years? ... late to the debate. Ever hear of Treyvon Martin? That's when the debate started.

I don't "seem to think". Studies show that whites are more successful when arguing "Stand your Ground" against blacks, then blacks are against whites. https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Justi...and-stand-your-ground-laws-what-the-data-show And that the difference between whites being found justified in using deadly force goes from 9% in non-Stand your Ground states, to 17% in Stand your Ground while the opposite (blacks justified to kill whites) statys the same at 1%. https://www.urban.org/sites/default...iable-Homicide-and-Stand-Your-Ground-Laws.PDF. and that White on black homocides are 354% more likely to be ruled justified than white on black homicides https://www.scribd.com/document/179956006/Inter-Racial-Justifiable-Homcides-Memo-9-16-2013-pdf

So no... It's not that I "seem to think". It's that evidence points that way.

Exactly... and,, just like you, most jurors don't see a difference between "alarmed" and "fearing your life threatened" when the person causing your "alarm" is black.

You have made my case for me.

In the thirty plus years did you ever get knocked to the ground and not respond with force?

It looks like right after the first attack the attacker was charging a second time. He didn't stop until the gun was produced. Since there's no sounds I can't tell you how many shots were fired

What do you call the two steps the Angry man took after the guy was on the ground?

"Charging" is a bit strong don't ya think? He took two, purposeful, steps.

And then he hitched his drawers.

None of the circumstances matter nothing. If he gets something in his head and he decides that that's the way things are he's going to argue with you, make straw man fallacies and eventually call you names. I wouldn't waste my time

I wouldn't think it's the material to the case we're talking about but if you want to go ahead.

Thus demonstrating a lack of knowledge pertaining to the real world.

    https://www.kansas.com/news/local/article212025654.html

A 45-year-old man is dead after he and his girlfriend's son got into an argument on Saturday night, Wichita police said in a written statement.

At about 8 p.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1900 block of S. Santa Fe. Emergency Medical Services arrived first and found the man unconscious.

The man was taken to the hospital where he later died, Officer Charley Davidson said in the release.

The man's 46-year-old girlfriend told police that her boyfriend had gotten into an argument with her 23-year-old son, the release states. She said her boyfriend tried to strike her son with his fist.

In defense, her son punched the man once in the head, Davidson said. The man then lost consciousness.

Police have since learned that a pre-existing medical condition may have contributed to the man's death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine his death, Davidson said.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

One punch was all it took for the person in question to die.

I had a few extended fights, one on one, before I could get any help. Using the gun was an option if I thought I was going to get beaten to a point where I could no longer fight back. Fortunately, that never happened. But in the extended physical struggles I got into with unarmed people, I never considered using the gun simply because they were throwing punches, or because the fight went to the ground. And there were a number of other incidents where I presented the gun to get armed people to disarm or to not move, etc.

The shooter has never been arrested for assault. On the other hand the man shot has been arrested for assault.

I don't think either of those things are really relevant in this case. All that matters is did the shooter fear for his life.

I'm not going to fight with people if they bring fists I'm bringing a gun. If you want to sit there and Duke it out with people be my guest it's not something I like doing

Is the law any different, when it applies to a vigilante? Mr Drejka seemed to be a self appointed parking inspector.
