It's a good thing if the Republitards and the Tea Party split. They never belonged together anyway, and now people will hopefully be less deluded as to the supposedly conservative views of the Republican party. There is nothing *fiscally* conservative about it, nor does it seem much interested in limiting government. Quite the opposite, really.
You think the Tea Party is going to go "3rd Party"?!?!? ROFLMAO Dead wrong....they'll remain loyal Republican voters each November election, even if the candidates are "RINOs".
No, I'm not making predictions for what they'll do. I expect they'll dry up more than anything. They wouldn't have been in the Republican party to begin with if any third party stood a chance in this country. Those who are serious about gaining national power in this crazy country try to do it through the two oligarchical parties. I found it unfortunate, however, that the Tea Party gave the Republican party an illusion of being conservative. No doubt the Republicans were on board with that as long as they thought it might bring them more electoral victories. Now, though, that's apparently done with and the Republicans will likely behave more like the Democrats going forward, i.e. shift left, to try and regain popularity.' I'm sure the Tea Party supporters will continue to vote Republican, though, as you've said. It's a two party system, after all. What choice do they have?
Absolutely true. The Republicans want to cut spending by a few percentage points. Moreover, they're obsessed with tax cuts, full well knowing that taxes on their own have nothing to do with how much the government takes the public. They'll just print and borrow money, as Reagan did.

If you think small, insignificant cuts are going to work then by all means - but if you actually want to achieve something you're far better off taking action to remove yourself from the state's domain. You can save a significant amount in tax by operating outside its reach, far more than you'll be relieved by the politicians.
For one thing, they could choose to SHUT UP about "going 3rd party" or even "not voting for any RINOs"....since they will never do the former and almost never do the latter.
