The overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii began with a coup d'état against Queen Liliuokalani on January 17, 1893 on the island of Oahu, by foreign residents residing in Honolulu, mostly United States citizens, and subjects of the Kingdom of Hawaii.[4] They prevailed upon American minister John L. Stevens to call in the U.S. Marines to protect American interests, an action that effectively buttressed the rebellion. The revolutionaries established the Republic of Hawaii, but their ultimate goal was the annexation of the islands to the United States, which finally occurred in 1898.

"Duke" was not a title or a nickname, but a given name. He was named after his father, Duke Halapu Kahanamoku, who was christened by Bernice Pauahi Bishop in honor of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, who was visiting Hawaii at the time. His father was a policeman. His mother Julia Paʻakonia Lonokahikina Paoa was a deeply religious woman with a strong sense of family ancestry.

Even though not of the formal Hawaiian Royal Family, his parents were from prominent Hawaiian ohana (family); the Kahanamoku and the Paoa ohana were considered to be lower-ranking nobles, who were in service to the aliʻi nui or royalty. His paternal grandfather was Kahanamoku and his grandmother, Kapiolani Kaoeha (sometimes spelled Kahoea), a descendant of Alapainui. They were kahu, retainers and trusted advisors of the Kamehamehas, to whom they were related. His maternal grandparents Paoa, son of Paoa Hoolae and Hiikaalani, and Mele Uliama were also of aliʻi descent.

Retouched version of the earliest surviving camera photograph, 1826 or 1827, known as View from the Window at Le Gras

The oldest surviving photograph of the image formed in a camera was created by Niépce in 1826 or 1827. It was made on a polished sheet of pewter and the light-sensitive substance was a thin coating of bitumen, a naturally occurring petroleum tar, which was dissolved in lavender oil, applied to the surface of the pewter and allowed to dry before use.

The first partially successful photograph of a camera image was made in approximately 1816 by Nicéphore Niépce, using a very small camera of his own making and a piece of paper coated with silver chloride, which darkened where it was exposed to light.

    2017 - 1968 = 47 years

It has been 47 years since Duke Kahanamoku fell asleep in The Lord.

The overthrow began 3 years after Duke Kahanamoku was born. In essence, those who were living during the overthrow probably had similar physical features as Duke Kahanamoku.

Doesn't seem as if Hawaii was in any sort of 'revolt' or 'war' against the overthrow during the years of Duke Kahanamoku.

    Talk about high tech Videography....

Without any proper year identification for the first video, could it pass for a relatively 'modern' newer video? If yes, then what could happen if a person deliberately left out the true year and slipped in a false year?

We could see WWII happening all over again and made to believe that it was occurring as we 'watched'....

LORD, please let Your work be done so that those who disbelieve YOU and because of their disbelief cause innocent people to go through unnecessary fear that YOU are against them, let Your work be done so those who disbelieve can receive that which will help them believe and to stop their unnecessary mockings towards YOU. In Your Only Begotten Son's Name, Jesus Christ, I ask. Amen.
