There is nothing complicated about the goal in Syria: a friendly or neutral country, neither allied with Iran nor a haven for jihadists, where minorities and the majority enjoy the same rights and security.

Welcome aboard. So you support the rule of a minority group and a Dictator over a democratic form of government and the majority of it's citizens, then why are you living in the USA?

    - - - Updated - - -

Friendly to who, certainly not to the US or other Democratic governments.

yes, of course...using actual armed conflict as a marker to define war...that's equivalent to saying the United States and Russia were "best friends" after WW2...afterall, they never...actually fired a shot at one another...Syria and Israel have been in a perpetual state of war since 1967. They have never, and will never be allied with one another...regardless of the regime. No different than North and South Korea which have been in perpetual war since the 38th parallel agreement was established.

The Cold war is still an example of perpetual war...and the Arab/Israeli conflict is approaching a Century. Do folks think this "Arab Spring" or regime change is going to change anything one iota?

We tried that in Iraq, forcing a regime change and the only thing that accomplished is developing an Iraq that is more closely allied with Iran. I don't think we should do anything in the Middle East in terms of intervention...it's doomed from the start.

I'm not denying that it is a pile of rubble. But if it is a pile of rubble, it can't be too clean and attractive, now can it? I don't keep up with the many conflicts that are part of daily life in the ME.

Did you come to NY for the meth? You make no sense. Syrians are racist. They hate Jews. Of course they are all the same race. You people execute anyone who isn't.

You really want to go with the psychotic story that USMC in the late 1700's had 1960 weapons? Who sent them back to the past? USA is not the cause of Syria's problems, no matter how you try to blame them. Why are you here in NY? You sure seem to hate USA.

You don't seem to be wrapped all that tightly if you think an internet forum is some sort of battlefield. But yeah - you go ahead and look on your "battlefield" for people from this website. And checking your medicine doses might help with these battlefield fantasies.

Wow, just when you think you have heard it all.............

Jews are not welcome in Syria. Why do you think they have been at war with Israel for 40+ years?

Of course it will. Syrian school books teach the children that Jews aren't human. These morons perpetuate their own problems by refusing to learn to deal with other cultures. And for what? Because they attacked a bunch of Jews and got their a$$es handed to them? They should just get over it and move on. Or they can just stay a rubble filled third world cesspool. As long as they can't make nukes I could care less what those folks do.

Jews lived in Syria for nearly 2 thousand years.

They stayed from the time of Jesus until 1948......

NY is part of the US. If she thinks it's dirty, she doesn't have to be there.
Neither did the other fella that you said was rude.

Sure enough, but they need to be said by Americans, not people who come here because they can't make a living in their own country, but want to come here and criticize this country when it is providing them with a living. Like the other poster said, if you don't like it, go back to your country.

Perhaps your reading comprehension is the one that is lacking. Yeah, I'm sure NYC "was" cleaner too, at one time. The thing is, she's here making a living and putting the city down, comparing it to her's, which is a pile of rubble. If she likes it so much, she should have stayed there.

So does the US, and I'm sure most ME people wouldn't like it if Americans went over there and told ME people that your country was dirty.

The reason is I don't like people who come here to live/work and then complain about the condition of the city they live in, and claim that their city is cleaner.

Obviously you haven't visited Appalachia in Kentucky/West Virginia. They are white, poor, uneducated and Republican.

Yeah, well so is Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama, and they are all red states, run by Republican governors, with lots of people on welfare.

Something that most of us already knew.

Only the most ignorant would say what he said about NYC. They are just jealous because it happens to be progressive and "blue" - unlike the backward "red" states that are between 25 and 50 years behind on everything. I'm surprised they have internet access.

    ,They probably have assistance. :roflol:

I have no idea what you mean by saying the middle east is canned; but Syrians are some of the most evil racist people on earth. Smearing Jews with anti-Semitic comments is a daily occurrence on Damascus Radio. They have even gone so far as to call the Holocaust a hoax.

"The campaign of Jewish blackmail began in Switzerland and later extended to Germany, Romania and other Western countries. This raises many legitimate doubts concerning everything connected with the myth of the Nazi ovens used for the destruction of the Jews. Many authors and researchers around the world have concluded that all the stories about this matter were exaggerated and fabricated, since many Jewish officers served in the Nazi command, among whom several were close to Hitler. It is therefore impossible that any nation in the world would be compelled to pay reparations to fictitious victims for dubious tragedies..."

It took me a few posts to realize he was a nut trying to troll for negative attention. I did finally realize it though and sent him to the ignore file. I'm also kind of wondering if this new person from Syria isn't actually a girl and is really more of a radical jihadist male. Women don't typically talk like she does, in any country. Sometimes I think USA needs to be a bit stricter about who they let in. Some of these folks really shouldn't be here.

You foolish boy. I live in Santa Cruz, California on the northern edge of Monterey Bay. Monterey Bay is a paradise compared to NYC.

You have 249 posts on PF. What gives you the standing to determine who should and shouldn't be a member of the forum?

Do you realize what you just wrote?

I mean, there is ignorance, and then there is whatever it is you call that post. Void of anything of value, or fact, besides 'Israels' nuclear arsenal.

To put it nicely, you sound insane.
