Here we go. Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Asking for $55 Million Federal Bailout

To me it’s a question of principle.
Why taxpayers in communities that defended themselves well should pay for the damage that was caused by someone they have no control over?
Why should my neighboring town that suffered damage pay for its own repairs and then pay for Minneapolis?
Totally not fair.
I wouldn’t contribute even a damn penny!

 

So after attacking Pres Trump on social media and in interviews, calling his riot response "weak", Mayor Frey along with Gov Walz are now going to beg the President to sign off on FEMA funds to cover the cost of the very riots that two Democrats encouraged, defended, and allow(ed) to continue. And the icing on the cake is that Rep Omar will be party to the asking, nay begging.

The President of course has no binding requisite to approve the funding, as historically noted when Pres Obama refused Balitmore FEMA funds for their race riot, and I hope he declines their request because the people of that city should suffer the consequences of their actions. Let their taxes go up, let their services get cut, to pay for the riots they enjoyed.

California screwed up in locking down the entire state instead of quarantining hot zones. The state then allowed rioters to destroy and loot the businesses that survived.

The San Francisco Chronicle is demanding Republicans clean up this Democrat mess.

In an editorial, the Chronicle said, "Both the governor and his counterparts in the Legislature know the depth of the problem: a crashing economy, rising jobless and health bills, and no end in sight for the corona virus threat. Both are leaning on the thin wish that more federal stimulus money will ride to the rescue though that brewing bailout is stalled in Washington. Thank the Republicans in the Senate for refusing to agree with House Democrats who want to send the funds to states that badly need it."

Nope! You don’t get to tell your police to stand down, support the rioters and let your city burn, then BASH the president when he offered help and THEN beg for money to fix what YOUR inaction caused. NO NO NO!! This wasn’t an act of god. Not a hurricane or flood. This was caused specifically because they allowed it to happen!!!

The rest of us shouldn’t have to pay a dime to fix what those people did. I feel really sorry for those businesses. But the only thing that will fix that city are those businesses LEAVING.

Giving them money only rewards the behavior. The mayors and governors who sat back and let it happen should pay.

 

Wait until the unfunded pension liability issue hits home. Then they really will be squealing for Federal money.

 

I watched that "swarmy little prick" on an Infowars posted video sobbing so hard at the Floyd memorial he was shaking. This man -- if he had gone into acting instead of politics -- could have been one of the greatest actors of all time. Well on the other hand, maybe politics and acting are the same profession.

To make matters worse for the city of Minneapolis, the man child mayor is surrounded by 13 city council members 12 of which are far left democrats, and one who is a green party. The current black police chief replaced a lesbian police chief, the Sheriff of Hennepin County is openly gay. The Met Council which overseas a five or seven-county area is comprised of all Democrats that want to turn the Twin Cities into Europe by eliminating all downtown parking and force people to ride bikes or use a light rail system that is so crime ridden a cop once told me to carry two guns if I ever choose to ride.
Oh and then, the city is blessed with having Ilian Omar as a representative to DC and (remember back) Hillary's running mate Tim Kaine's son Linwood (Woody) Kaine, who is in charge of the Minnesota branch of Antifa.
Nothing says peace and love like a 10ft. high black power fist spray painted on the side of a burned out Target store that will never rebuild in that area.

Minneapolis, rapidly joining the list of other shithole cities like Portland and Seattle.

The fact that the state is also mostly open for business is helping tremendously, giving folks a positive outlet instead of other places where the people suffer and are still locked down.
