Unfortunately, as lawyers learn how the law works.... they also learn how to use it to do dishonest things legally. Thus we have a lot of acts that are inherently wrong and dishonest that we can't prosecute. There are 222 members of congress that are layers- and those that are not have lawyers on staff.

Look it up Lee. It’s verifiable. Don’t take anyone’s word for it. You’ll feel liberated.

I post my positions along with the factual basis on which they are founded. Your replies are nothing more than the repetition of insults in varying form and degree. I always thought these boards were a vehicle for debating opposing points of view. I make mine clear. It's apparent that you fear having the foundations of your arguments shattered because they are based on right wing media mush, half-truths, and lies. You are welcome to show otherwise..........but you don't.

I have "looked it up." I've watched the tapes, read the transcripts, done the homework. I am persuaded by the facts. You are not. So it goes.

Well, like I said. If you can look at these facts and come to the conclusion you have, you haven’t any business discussing such weighty matters. Especially if your only rebuttal is calling people Trumpster etc. Who do you think you are influencing? Real die hard Trump fans aren’t going to listen, independents can’t take you seriously, and progressives already parrot the same lines you do.

If you want rid of Trump, run a decent candidate against him. This tired narrative is working against you. I really don’t care what silly things are said about politicians. I do care about salvaging at least part of this country. I implore all Trump haters to spend their energy on producing a better option. Because if you don’t, you’re going to be calling Trump, and everyone who votes for him out of self defense, white nationalist for another term.

In other words, might makes right? Regardless of the criminality involved.

Trump has taken the stance that he can do whatever he wants, practically daring anyone to do something about it. Very bullying type behavior.

I've heard, that within the military, and separately in the FBI, procedures are in place to remove the president if he steps too far out of line.

Trump has thoroughly corrupted the State and Justice departments, as well as Homeland security and border and immigration departments. And, through his hotels is profiting off of his position. Not to mention his seemingly subordinate posturing towards Putin, our most dangerous adversary.

Now he is refusing any cooperation with Congress and seems poised to ignore court orders. And two of his operatives have been arrested for funneling Russian money into his campaign.

Pulling the troops out of Syria, leaving the Kurds to be slaughtered by the Turks, has made Trump very unpopular with the military. That and his unlawfully taking funds from military projects to pay for his moronic wall.

A dictator needs an army to rule. Trump may not have one.

Again, you repeat yourself. Thanks for your opinion. However, it loses whatever weight it potentially would have since it is not based on the facts. Thanks for playing.

You post them with the "factual positions" as you define them. Invariably, you attempt to degrade the credibility of those with positions you don't like by insulting and attacking the person prior to attacking the position. You agree only with yourself. You are not going to change or even rationally consider the points of others that you bait into argument. THAT IS NOT DISCUSSION.

Discussions require participants who have at least basic respect for others. Rants do not. Slander does not. Abuse and hate does not. YOU are the one who proves what you are doing, and you do that so well there is no reason to help you. Do keep it up; it supports the fundamental reasons why people support Trump. I guess that makes you a sort of Trump supporter.

Ok Lee. Show me there weren’t good people there on both sides. Give me facts.

Sure the Confederacy was a fine movement. All they did was wage a war in an effort to tear the country apart just so they could have the right to own slaves.

I have no idea what Southerners are so proud of. They should be hanging their heads in shame.

It appears as if someone has failed Debate 101.

When one loses sight of the topic at hand, and resorts to attacks on the credibility of the other debater, one has lost the debate.

The Confederacy caused one of our deadliess wars, fighting for the right to hold slaves. Not exactly the most honorable group to defend, let alone worship, or hang one's identify on.

Ummm. Yeh. Who’s worshipping the Confederacy? That’s what’s so bizarre about this whole thing. You try and talk facts and someone points up to the left and yells, “look, a bird!”

While that is logic, it's also true that debating someone who has no intention or capacity to be honest about things is a waste of time.
I don't expect all people to agree with me- my wish is that they can think for themselves, and go beyond parroting the same old crap with the same level of deceit.

Is not that what the march in Charlottesville was all about. Protecting the statues of Confederate heroes?

Actually the topic of the thread is an interesting one. Why is it, I often wonder, the positions conservatives tend to take. Often we can say that it is just political biases, but it seems to go quite a bit deeper than that.

We can take, for instance, global warming. The empirical evidence overwhelmingly shows what is going on. Yet most conservatives, especially the Evangelicals, will argue all day long that it just isn't true.

It is the same with Trump. He clearly had the help of the Russians in 2016 and just got caught trying to force the Ukraine to help him in the next election. As well as two of his operatives were caught funneling Russian money into Trump's campaign.

How is this corruption okay with conservatives. I'm starting to see that perhaps conservatism is so corrupt, that this is just more of the same. What is desired. Just like the voter suppression, and segregation.

What about Jim Acosta hitting the girl with the microphone. What a bunch of yahoos conservatives turned out to be on that one.

"Tribalism," is a PC term that is TOTALLY deviant from what we are currently dealing with in this country. We never dealt with a true form of Tribalsim during the Civil War either.

What we do have is an internal uprising of so called, "Progressives," who no longer want to operate under the form and spirit of our form of government that has been in existence since 1789.

They currently don't seem to be able to grasp enough power to satisfy themselves through the current system so they have resorted to anarchy and lawlessness.

I typically supply links to the source of the information I use in my posts. You are encouraged to refute the information I use in a similar fashion. Expressing your opinion that the facts I use are not facts at all, without documented refutation, is and forever will be unpersuasive.

BTW, have you read your own posts lately? Attempting to gain the high ground by accusing me of a lack of respect while at the same time spewing gratuitous insults towards me and others you disagree with is the definition of hypocrisy.

Disparaging the source without factually refuting the information contained in the article is nothing but :blahblah::blahblah:.
