Private for profit businesses are doing what they can, government isn't doing anything.
Mining and oil companies have done more to combat climate change than anyone else on the planet.

Regulation is bad because regulation doesn't solve problems it just hurts people.
Increasing gas mileage doesn't help because people just drive more.

Cars pollute the air more now than they ever have because people drive more and there are more people driving..
Lets put it this way people are going to do what they have to do to survive.

If you regulate people and tax them so as to damage the economy, which would be extremely easy to do then people won't be able to afford to care about the environment.
If it gets bad large numbers of people will cut trees and burn them for firewood and kill whatever animals they need to to feed their families. A depression would destroy the environment and make climate chsnge worse .
NASA is one of the biggest whiners on this issue and one rocket or shuttle launch causes more damage than hundreds of people driving for a lifetime.

Government just needs to get out of the way and let people get rich fighting climate change.

I have read where Christians didn't make much of Mary until Christian society moved northwards. In England, Ireland, and parts of Northern France, there were local goddesses called Lady of the Lake. King Arthur's sword came from a Lady of the Lake. The cult of the virgin was created to replace her, in a similar way that the Christians co-opted the Easter celebrations.

People are too narcissistic and have an inflated sense of self-worth, they've abandoned the natural human trait of empathy. To my eyes, I see that people are becoming increasingly lacking in empathy. We used to say 'I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes until I met a man that had no feet'. And that was a real thing, that people could place themselves in the situation of others less fortunate - people that have physical problems, or have children born with birth defects. These are the people we should be reaching our hands out to support and by insulting them with names like 'retard' and 'crip' we're minimizing them even further. Where has our humanity gone?
