oh dear ... why has this been overlooked? http://www.bosnewslife.com/19776-hindu-militants-attack-india-evangelicals-several-injured
Hindu-Christian clashes are not new in India. http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1698533,00.html
yes, its an ongoing issue and has been happening since at least the nineties as far as I know, and yet it seems to get overlooked. apparently one of the issues is that too many people are converting ... especially among lower caste indians. I wonder why so many people here ignore what is happening there.
Can I suggest that its because its rather limited in severity - no deaths, ancient churches destroyed etc. andf because its limited to India and not part of any global trend. Indian immigrants in the West where most of the posters here are don't appear to be associated with problems like those for example of immigrants with an Islamic cultural background. Muslim immigrants have for example vandalised cars of those attending services at my local church whereas I've never heard of Hindus involved in such.
