After inheriting the recession of the worst president ever, Donnie Trump, Good Ole Joe Biden has made remarkable gains in the economy by eliminating the job losses of Plutocratic Socialist Donnie and then adding even more jobs:
Trump's economic record of a net loss of 3 million jobs and an increase of the unemployment rate of 2%.

There will always be enough jobs for people cuz there will always be work to do. The thing you're worried about is probably if at all possible a very distant concern.

There are many made in America businesses that charge a reasonable price. If you google made in America polo shirts you will see many starting in the $30 range. For example:

    https://homegrowncotton.com/

The REAL problem is CONSUMERS. People complain about made in China or other overseas products but then line up to buy them. People have no problems screaming for government led policies like tariffs to make overseas goods more expensive but they never consider just exercising their choice and buy American made products for a few dollars more. People demand smaller government but then they want government to impose policies to make the overseas goods cost more instead of just buying American.

Another example is electronics like TVs. People often ask for advice on televisions and then end up buying a Samsung, Sony or some other Asian brand. There still exist US manufacturers of TVs but if you never even consider them what makes you think they will survive. Instead people will complain about manufacturing jobs going overseas.

From a political situation it is a no win situation for them. You impose tariffs or trade restrictions and the price of imported goods go up. Then people whine about inflation. You complain the Chinese manipulate their currency to keep it low but when it goes up goods cost more.

Again, this is the kind of thing that happens when you pay people NOT to work, and give them 'subsidies' and other government handouts.

BTW, credit card debt went way up in November, so, now that the holiday hangovers have given everybody a refreshing dose of REALITY again, maybe some of the slackers will get up off their asses and find something to do to make their own money THEMSELVES.

The next jobs report will be very informative....

With 96,000 leaving the workforce and the LFPR still below 62%. And Biden wants to keep subsidizing not working.

I don't think there is a realistic solution. We're too far gone. Our culture is too ****ed mentally and our population is too high. We'd have to magically convince millions of people that they aren't actually entitled to everything they want, that they need to learn to live within their means, that something isn't a 'right' just because some vote pandering politician say it is, and we'd would have needed to deport tens of millions of illegals decades ago before they started (and continue) to overbreed beyond the means of our country to sustain itself.

I think its too late. The only smart thing to do is to make as much money as you can and just outlive it.

I was really expecting to hear how you would convince Americans to lower their living standards, accept lower wages, etc. Your answer is more politically motivated based solely on conservative views. You seem to fail to understand why America cannot compete with other countries whose standard of living is lower than ours. And what does millions of illegals have to do with America's standard of living?

We're supposed to, that's Capitalism, that's how it works and makes things better. That's how goods constantly improve and sell for lower and lower prices besides. This bullshit that we're supposed to be patriotic and buy American is how we end up making shoddy goods that nobody wants to buy on the world market.

The way America became great was to make it better, cheaper. People used to go out of their way to demand American quality at the better price the world over. Now we have the reputation of selling sh%t for a higher price. Who in their right mind would ever buy from us?

America makes good stuff, but American consumers shop by price. Thus we had the growth of Walmart and Amazon. (And co incidentally the growth of the storage industry, lol)
There are lots of areas where “cheap will do”. Toys, baby clothes, casual work clothes, shoes, hand tools. Mostly things Joe and Jane Average buy. The money saved went back into the economy to be spend somewhere else. Yes, US makers suffered, but the consumer stretched the buying power of their dollar. The absurd imbalance is due to the mercantilism* of China and the short sightedness of our politicians.

Agreed. My objection is to this idea that we should buy from our countrymen rather than whoever sells the best product at the best price. We do them no favors that way, but rather hurt ourselves by allowing shoddy and overpriced wares to stay on the market longer.

I don't know how to convince people that they're not entitled to something just because they want it. That mindset wasn't always as popular as it is now. We used to be hard working self starters who were thankful for what we had. It took decades to destroy America's cultural identity. That's some high level long-game **** right there friend. And yea it is political because that destruction came by way of Marxist progressive infestations into education, government, culture, and commerce.

And the illegal invaders are a key part of this because not only do they make it possible by bolstering the Marxist voter pool but since the near entirety of them exist on the lowest part of the wealth spectrum their amplification of this problem dramatically outweighs any benefit of their presence.

A fair wage is entitlement to you? Just more angry ranting without providing any solutions on how Americans can get manufacturing jobs back.

The strongest host can be brought down by a virulent parasite. America rotted from within thanks to a Marxist progressive infestation.

It is within the defining of a fair wage that the entitlement exists. A fair wage in America used to mean you gave a base amount of your time, providing a base level of productivity, and in return received enough compensation to sustain yourself with basic accommodations and basic food and if you were smart you budged for everything else you wanted. That was what a fair wage meant; trading the bare minimum of effort for the bare minimum of existence.

Oh, oh but today, oh boy. Today a 'fair' wage means I need enough to buy a new car, live in a nice house, buy that new IPhone every year and an unlimited data plan to go with it, high speed internet so I can watch multiple streaming services, brand name clothes so I can keep up with the Instatrends, and have enough disposable income left over to buy whatever gadget Amazon recommends, AND buy all of the above for every one of the 5 kids I crap out because I'm too dumb to use some birth control.

The 'fair' wage ain't fair anymore and so that's why its an entitlement. People feel they deserve everything life has to offer and that all they should trade for it is a few 5 hour shifts at McDees.

Retail sales actually FELL in Dec.

Biden Stagflationary Disaster Will Hit Hard This Year.

With employers cutting employees and prices shooting through the roof, major necessities will soon not be affordable for most people. A fast-moving decline in production along with a swift explosion in prices is a stagflationary disaster.
