The snowflakes can stand having their ideas scrutinized. Good to know.

    What do I want?

Defend my shores, deliver my mail, keep my roads, and **** off otherwise.

Foreign involvement should be either nil to non existent or explicitly quid pro quo.

Rights: I have them. All of them. What about those ones? Yes those ones too. And these? Yes, indeed.

Threads like this illustrate a big problem with how Americans view political ideology. They tend to argue things in the context of a false dichotomy between "left" and "right". Not only are those terms poorly defined, but they ignore the existence of alternatives. I am frequently accused of being a "lefty" and a "righty" by members of the partisan mob. Some of them seem mentally incapable of imagining the existence of an opponent who isn't a "lefty" or a "righty".

Hmmmm....well, the very fact that you acknowledge that there are people who are neither left or right, indicates that you understand what constitutes left or right. With that being the case, why do you have a problem with people using a term that you understand its meaning? Isn't the entire goal of communication to convey ones meaning?

I am not a conservative but I do believe we want to be left alone. Lefties want the government to engineer our entire existence. You cannot do that without sacrificing liberty. Liberals need to get out of everyone else's business and mind their own.

I don't actually understand its meaning. As I said, the terms are poorly defined.

Poorly defined? So you dont know where Fox News and MSNBC are going to fall on any particular issue until you hear what they have to say on that issue?

If you dont understand its meaning, then how do you know you are neither a lefty or a righty? Doesnt your lack of ability to describe yourself in terms of left and right simply indicate that you perhaps are a combination of the two?

Very few people are 100% right or 100% left, but most people do tend to fall on one side or the other on the topics that are most important to them and that is how their political positioning is described. I am fiscally conservative, and socially liberal. Because I vote based on economics, that puts me solidly on the right
