Nathan law go read his facbook, he quit the leadership position of HK protest, and went straight to grad school in US. his fellow protester want him to stay but guess he have his own school to worry about
Good for him, he took my advice. He realized that America and Trump would watch the CPC slaughter the idealists, and not do a damn thing but watch their America football. Better to be a selfish egoist than a forgotten martyr.
Possibly, but the cause is still just. And I don't edge them on, I tell them to get the hell out, now. Before the streets are filled with the blood of visionaries, idealists and unwanted martyrs. Apparently, according to s002wjh, one already has. Good for him. Now the rest of you, get out now. Your lives and happiness are at stake. Get out. Death awaits you all.
lol, before you ask me who, cause sound like you don't belief them running away and leave their follow protester dry. now its 180 turn. these so called leader push their follow protester to the frontline, but when SHTF, they all went separate ways, thats the extent of their resolve on this protest.
Nope. I was just curious as to who the leaders were, their political philosophy--which I assumed is democratic, a deadly poison to liberty--and what they would accept as victory. As it stands right now it's a "David vs Goliath" battle, superficial, but a good starting point, with a large dose of "Don't Tread On Me". I'm convinced its not enough to oust CPC control of Hong Kong politics and government, but I enjoy a good sock to the jaw of tyranny anytime one can. Don't you? Besides, the CPC has a lot to answer for with regards to The Tiananmen Square Massacre. This is a good reminder. And I want to rub their tyrannical snouts deep into that human slaughter.
like i said before, i support peaceful protest, not the latest round of disruption. they are not helping their cause that way. a lot old generation of HK are pro-Beijing, a lot HK in their 30/40s are neutral but want stability and jobs. there is discontent in HK, but its not due to desire of democracy, its due to stagnant economy. people got to have jobs to pay the rent, cars, child care, that's what majority of HK care about. the tycoon in HK purchase all the good land etc, housing is ridiculous high. the gap between rich and poor grow wider each year. the fundamental problem of HK is an economic one, not democratic one. its the same as Arab spring.
And what would you call those that died in Tiananmen Square? Miscreants? And what is a Revolution without ideals and goals, i.e., political philosophy, but hyena's feeding off the dead? The protestors are morally correct in defying the CPC attempt to silence their dissent, but it takes more than btching to launch a successful revolution. Which is why I advise, Get the fck out.
Somewhat similar, and with the same mistake--they know the government is rotten and life sucks, but have no idea except to fight for an ill-defined People's Democracy. Well, if there is one thing history teaches us its that Peoples Democracies are always ruled by tyrants, Robert Mugabe comes to mind, as does Castor, Lenin, Stalin, Tito, Kim, and on, and on, and on, and on, even Xi Jinping. When political leaders start talking about the "people's Democracy", you can be sure that liberty will be the first thing that the "people" will be forced to surrender. Ebay, used, iphone 4, certaintly not iphone XS Max 512 GB, unless your Trump and you consider $1400 chump change. Tell me where I can buy it for $140, then I'll call it cheap.
Hmmm? What's this about: "Fear of more violence was reignited this week after China's paramilitary People's Armed Police were seen marching and practicing crowd control tactics at a sports complex on the border of Hong Kong in what some have interpreted as a threat against pro-democracy protesters."--https://www.foxnews.com/entertainme...ertainment (Internal - Entertainment - Mixed)
According to globalist tightwads the price of iPhones would go up to $1400 without slave labor and no environmental controls in china
Ah, the difference, I suspect, is I don’t consider Capitalists to be government pull merchants, I consider them to be the victims of government tyranny. But there are those make believe capitalists, like Trump, who are. And, in order to destroy these pull merchants, it is morally necessary to fight for a constitutional amendment separating the state from the economy. This is because free men don't require a government that runs their lives, they require a government to protect their Individual Rights to live their own lives.
You have a thing about tariffs If tariffs are not the easy solution to the problem they are not the end of civilization either All nations have tariffs to protect jey areas of their economy And the US. needs them too If the euros were smart they would put aside their ego and admit that they still need the US for mutual defense and we need them Because china is our mutual enemy And by euro I mean germany who seems to be running things over there
Oh, I beg to differ, that's exactly what tariffs are--when followed to there logical conclusion--which is never capitalism, and always more power and control for the state.
The question is: which state will have the control? With tariffs we control our economy Without tariffs china controls us
There's no ”we” in ”I”. Your mistake is assuming someone must control the economy, let alone should. .
