How did animals and insects get to remote islands?

    Floating log mats, giant wind storms, and ocean levels had a play into it.

    Hawaii has new island appearing all the time.

    So that would be a good microcosm to study this issue from.

    Presumably other than volcanic islands like Hawaii, the earth of the Earth was all connected at one time before plate techtonics split it all up.
