1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence! 2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams! 3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit! 4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! 5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek! 6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires! 7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his divine spiritual and intellectual development, has become the most vicious animal of all! 8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! 9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years! These are the 9 satanic statements. How do you oppose them?
1: I do like indulgence, but I prefer moderation in some form. 2: Yeah, ok, I am a fan of that which is material. 3: I do like wisdom. 4: I prefer a kindness across the board. "Deserve" is rarely properly defined. 5: I don't support vengeance or turning the other cheek. I support a system of punishment with the aim to deter. 6: I do like some form of responsibility, but I'm not sure exactly what the concern for psychic vampires would entail. 7: I can get behind your point here. 8: I'm a fan of certain sins, some other, not so much. I don't judge an action on its representation in any other world view. 9: Not a big fan of that. And most of all, I oppose the word which you use in 8 out of 9 points, "represent". I don't need symbols for my beliefs (well, sometimes I do, but in those cases, Satan is probably a bad one). If I want to think of man as another animal, I'll just do that instead of having to have Satan represent that for me.
