Are you saying that only one of them is God's word?

or more likely.. none of them are

interesting discovery, oldest bible ever found, seems to show the bible as is known today is not as it originally was

"1500 Year-Old Bible Found In Turkey Is Stirring Up Controversy About Christianity"

    https://www.sunnyskyz.com/good-news...Is-Stirring-Up-Controversy-About-Christianity

""Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara. Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul "The Impostor". The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place."

Is this you acknowledging that somewhere out there is God's word, but it's likely that we just haven't found it yet?
What do you think makes it a "bible?"

So then we could NEVER know that we've found it?

    Define "bible."

    sure

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible

"The Bible is a collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures sacred in Judaism, Samaritanism, Christianity, Islam, Rastafarianism, and many other faiths."

in this case, we are referring to the Christian bible, written during the time of Christ possibly, but this bible does not agree with the modern day bible

you do know how the modern day bible stories were picked, do you not? seems they added some and removed some from the modern day bible

SUBTOPIC: A question of the Bible...
    ⁜→ chris155au, FreshAir, et al,

Now, this is a much more difficult question than it sounds like at first.

    (A COMMENT in PERSPECTIVE)

The term ‘‘Bible’’ is derived, through the Latin Biblia, from the Greek literally meaning ‘‘the books."
    GREEK for The Books.png
Sometimes referred to as the "writings" or the "Scriptures."
Sacred Book.png or Meaning the Bible as a Whole.png

These are to be distinguished from the "Septuagint" of the Second and Third Century (Hebrew Old Testament) (some Jewish Scholars include the Apocrypha in the Hebrew OT while others do not → depending on the Hellenistic source) or the Fourth Century Vulgate (Latin version compiled by Saint Jerome).

I have seen friends become frustrated and lose their temper in discussions on this very question. It is a sticky question. It is a nebulas term that imparts different mental cues in different people.

    Just my thought,

if they meet the criteria, in this case it was a Christian Bible that was found

is their some Christian Bibles that you think do not deserve the title of Bible?

    (SHORT ANSWER)

    No...

    (COMMENT)

I read the article. But it does not give content, just the general description of the book itself. If the date they give is accurate, it could be related to the material associated with the Council at Alexandria (320), First Council of Nicaea (325), or the First Council of Constantinople (381). The languages they mention ( Aramaic, Syriac ) place it in that same period.

Having said that, I suspect only the Vatican can examine the book for content and comparison. It doesn't need to be a "Bible" but it could be teaching material, or exemplars use at the various Councils as "research" or some other evidentiary document collection. There is no way to know yet. To automatically jump to the conclusion that it is a "Bible" of a sort → is just a leap without evidence other than the existence of a book. What it is → too early to tell. But it is interesting.

    Just my thought,

Finding lost scriptures can tell us about what stories the early Christians were preaching to themselves. Of course, they will never be part of the canon bible versions. And, most modern Christians (I think) will reject those lost scriptures as heresy and lies of the devil which is ironic.

I'm actually confused by this definition. I didn't consider the Bible to be a sacred Islamic text, did you?

I've always considered the Bible to be the Bible, the text of Christianity, and the Quran to be the Quran, the central text of Islam.

nope, there are many bibles out there, just many Christians think their's is the one and only, some with God's

there are even many flavors of the Christian bible

this old one is very different, and closer to the original than the current one, it's the oldest Christian bible ever found

and it says Jesus was not crucified, that someone was crucified in his place

No, Christians have NEVER thought that theirs is the only religious text in the world.
