We join parties much in the same way we join any organization trying to multiply our voices. If it isn't your thing, maybe you've yet to find something you're passionate enough about to join a club.

No, I am not GOP. It is a slow process, but the weaning is happening. If we abandon it, the GOP will fill the vacuum. If we keep the GOP's feet to the fire, either they'll capitulate to us, join us or we'll leave them and successfully start a viable third party that competes for the big prize. That's my hope anyway.

 

Good call. That's how it should be. They sure went after Clarence Thomas. I think at the time they were after a bigger prize, the woman vote. They'd already secured the black vote for generations, so nothing they could do to a conservative black judge would damage that.

I think you're confused. The TEA Party is not the GOP. Many, maybe most of us are not registered republicans. The GOP just so happens to be the closer of the two parties that best reflect the conservative values of the TEA Party and we may vote for many of the GOP candidates, but that does not make us republicans.

 

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel special, but the fact of the matter is that EVERY Tea Party Representative or candidate for political office has an R behind their name, and that sir makes them Republicans or Liars, you pick whichever you feel is more fitting.

The Tea Party is a joke who will vote for whoever the Republicans tell them to vote for, even if they swear up and down that they would never support that candidate. In many ways they are similar to self proclaimed "Libertarians", who are also phonies, and for the most part loyal Republican voters even though they'll say other wise.

It doesn't even matter any way, because once Obama is out of office, The Tea Party will be nothing more than a question on Jeopardy.

Why don't you start your own Party, if the People support the Tea Party so much your rise in American Politics should be meteoric, me thinks you know you and your fellow Tea Party bunch Know you would be rejected by the Vast Majority of Americans and that would be that. I voted for one Democrat this election for county legislature. Did you vote for any Republicans, for any office? Or are you a straight Democrat ticket voter posturing yourself as an independent?

 

My vote was split nearly 50/50 between Dems and Repubs this election. I have never voted straight ticket in any election, only a sheep would actually believe either Party is 100% the best choice at anything.

I have never voted a straight ticket for any party and Casper's projections are to obvious as to his own tendencies. Maybe he's just another one of those butt-hurt folks who are intolerant of independent thinkers and voters who clearly can't be bought or bull(*)(*)(*)(*)ted. He likely doesn't realize that TEA Party folks have worked to get rid of Republican candidates too.
