there is no science behind this arbitrary definition.
And there is no body that has the authority to create this definition

Two. This "Non-Gender Binary" trend is a threat to Western eroticism. It has driven many to follow the other extreme of traditionalism. Not a problem in itself. The nuclear family is an excellent model. Unfortunately, a significant portion of people choosing traditional lifestyles, particularly of those people of religious deposition, often seek to expand their influence over the desires of others.

I am going to quote the World Health Organisation on the topic

"Gender refers to the socially constructed characteristics of women and men – such as norms, roles and relationships of and between groups of women and men. It varies from society to society and can be changed."

I do not think it is possible to give an answer as gender is not a scientific term.

Sex, however is based on science, but I still can't give an answer because I do not know the amount of chromosomal abnormalities, or the other things that lead to non-binary sex.

For some the answer is whatever gender it takes to hang out in the girl's locker room....

The fact anyone is asking the question shows some success by liberals to destroy society as we've known it. Liberals are at war with society from many fronts.

No one is forced to agree with what is defined in the dictionary.
But no one has to listen to those who just want to make up imaginary definitions either. So, good bye.

Well...no offense to anybody but to me there are just two genders.
Male and female...I can't see any other gender neither in human species nor in other animals o_O

If you don't go with the defined term, by default, you are attempting to define it by your own measures.
One can't have any conversation about any topic if the definitions of what is being discussed is not known.

If there is no definition, there can be no answer. So the question of the OP, can be infinite.

I have no idea who defined it. Did I put the link to where I got the definition from? If not, I'm sure it can be re-googled.

    gender

    NOUN
    • 1Either of the two sexes (male and female), especially when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female.

‘a condition that affects people of both genders’

      ‘someone of the opposite gender’
‘everyone always asks which gender I identify as’
      1. 1.1 Members of a particular gender considered as a group.
        ‘social interaction between the genders’

‘encouraging women and girls to join fields traditionally dominated by the male gender’

If one is part male, part female, are they male, female, or other?

    OK, fine. You win.
We can limit this charming little exercise to a very minute segment of the population.

Hasn't it always been limited to a segment of the population?
Do you have an answer? I assume now it's not 2?

I've asked this question most every thread on the issue.
How many numbers are there between binary 0 and 1? The answer of course is there are infinite numbers between these 2 binary numbers.
IMO, there is no such thing as 100% male and 100% female. We couldn't even define what is 100% of either.

I am sure there are some who have laid ground work, else there wouldn't even be a definition to begin with.
But if it is an opinion, then again, the answer is near infinite. As each can have their own definition.

What study do you have on the topic?
What is the definition of gender in your mind?
What is a person who has male parts and female parts? Male, female, or other?

OK, so it is a very limited segment of the population.
For everyone else, the make it up as you go, .... is folly.

IMO, everybody thinks their opinions are valid.

a very small segment of the population, and their issues are not generalized to the vast majority of the population.

Even though there are physical properties of male parts and female parts, it make up as you go?

I have an open mind to most things, so my valid opinion is always subject to change.
    What is 100% male?
    What is 100% female?
There seem to be certain traits of each sex in most humans.
And they vary, there are very masculine men, and very feminine women.
There are also very feminine men and very masculine women.
And a whole host of humans in between.
