The "leaders of the NRA" have been all over the world supporting firearms rights causes. They are about supporting Freedom and Constitutional rights, period. Sometimes I think they're too willing to compromise, and they have, at times, acted more in the interest of cementing their own power than protecting the Constitution. Claiming they "colluded to violate our sovereignty" is utter nonsense; pure propaganda manufactured by people tired of getting their political butts handed to them by the NRA.

Everyone knows if Trump's Supreme Court Justice is confirmed ( a near certainty) the willingness of the courts to take on more 2nd Amendment cases - and to rule along more Originalist lines - then a lot of restrictive laws are going to be stricken from the books and gun control groups will have an uphill fight just to survive. So, the left is pointing and shrieking about every minuscule factoid that might be twisted into "proof" of collusion in hopes of preventing that from happening.

While the topic might can be cast as humorous, I am of the school of thought that doesn’t see humor in the topic of firearms and I am not of the school that characterizes shooting firearms as a fun thing despite being a staunch gun rights advocate most of my 60+ years of life.

That said, my grandfather was a career police officer who believed kids needed to be "gun-proofed". He started training me to coexist safely with firearms from the time I was 4 years old, taking advantage of a child's ability to learn and absorb information to enable me to be safe in a house that had loaded firearms in it. Those lessons have stood me in good stead throughout my life.
