Trumpers slavishly imitate and emulate their god all the time. Say anything good about the Bronze Baby and watch them preen. This is possibly the most disgusting thing Trumpers do to my observation. They fawn, and beside just being repugnant on its own fawning is about the most Un-American thing there really is.

Russia won't. Most of their scenarios to invade the US have them coming through Alaska and down through Canada. There are DoD specified highways from Nome right down to Seattle. Alaska is our soft overbelly

That's another strange thing about Trumpers and one of their few saving graces. Some of them take pride in despising the man but liking his policies. I guess you could do that but you're still making him a caudillo and Americans don't like caudillos

They are way down on the threat list now. This isn't 1981.

What makes you think the U.S. wouldn't come to the aid militarily of its oldest ally?

I told you .. we will be far too busy hiding - trying to avoid the Nuclear Holocaust - which is why Russia is not attacking in the first place .. and why putting troops there is pointless.

We've had warlords, Indeed one of the Presidents I most admire, Andrew Jackson was a warlord. (And PLEASE don't think I am even close to comparing him to Trump, for his ghost will horsewhip me in the street for that and I will heartily deserve it.)

Why would we be worried about a nuclear holocaust? You think the Russians are going to start a nuclear conflict just because the U.S. assists a long time ally?

    Don't be ridiculous.

Ukraine is in real danger of being invaded by another 170,000 Russian 'volunteers' and their
BUK missiles. The Baltic states are constantly threatened. Former Soviet neighbors are all
feeling the Russian pinch. And until this drags NATO, America into the frey you will not see a
single 'peace movement' acivist in any Western city - even if a hundred million people died.

Agreed Ukraine is in real danger. Also agree that NATO is not going to do anything to help Ukraine in any significant military way.

How was he NOT? His first career was military. His greatest victory literally saved America and he followed it with 30 years of Indian Wars, (Most of which saw him allied with one tribe or another and in the end he royally screwed them all, the main reason why many casinos don't have twenties.)

Caudillo doesn't mean Warlord anyway (**** dictionaries). The literal translation is "Man on Horseback". They're these sort of flashy strongmen who rule more by slap and dash than political science and who are sometimes overthrown only to come back more than once. In Latin America, their real home, they're very military and seem to wear the uniform in the shower but the tradition is that they're often not that good as generals though they are clever politician/soldiers by definition.

Trump would dearly love to be one but he's just not smart enough.

Giftedone - you don't have to be rude. It weakens your argument.
I have a friend who screams at me when I defend Covid vaccines-
she thinks she's on top of the argument by doing this.

Thats the problem .. Weakens "What" argument .. any semblence of an argument had left the building long ago.. the level of worthlessness truly lower than low .. .. that said .. you have a point.

That's true of most American presidents. And Jackson wasn't in the military during the bulk of the Indian Wars.
