First, I'm not a Democrat nor a Republican.......I've been an independent since 2007, and here are the main reasons why I hate politics; 1. Dishonesty 2. Hypocrisy Now, in reference to following articles; 1. Breitbart News, Mar 2nd, 2021; Headline; Pursuing deadly nursing home scandal "would open a pandora's box'' for Dems ''So what’s going on? Why is America’s corrupt media not at all interested in some 15,000 dead senior citizens'' blah blah blah ''Four other Democrat governors issued the same sociopathic nursing home order as Cuomo. Four other Democrats ordered infected coronavirus patients be admitted into nursing home facilities'' ''What this means is that if the corrupt media were to do the right thing (like that will ever happen) and go after Cuomo over his deadly nursing home policy, it would open a Pandora’s Box against these four Democrat governors and the Democrat party as a whole, which is something our fake media will never do. https://www.breitbart.com/the-media...lly-about-protecting-four-d/emocrat-governors 2. Detroit Free Press, Aug 28, 2021 Headline; Michigan is not the only state allowing nursing homes to accept COVID19 positive residents NOTE: ALLOWING NURSING HOMES TO ACCEPT COVID19 POSITIVE RESIDENTS Lee Chatfield, the Republican speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, criticized Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s approach to handling coronavirus outbreaks in the state’s nursing homes in a July Facebook post. Chatfield wrote that Whitmer’s “failed policy” makes Michigan’s approach unique. “We remain the only state in the country that still imposes this reckless policy,” Chatfield wrote. He seemed to be pointing to Michigan’s policy of allowing nursing homes to accept COVID-19-positive residents. ''An editorial by the Detroit News published in early August made a similar claim. It said that with the exception of Whitmer, “all other governors have backed down and changed course when they saw the consequences” of allowing “infected nursing home residents back into their facilities.” NOTE: ALL OTHER GOVERNORS HAVE BACKED DOWN AND CHANGED COURSE WHEN THEY SAW THE CONSEQUENCES OF ALLOWING INFECTED NURSING HOME RESIDENTS BACK INTO THEIR FACILITIES blah blah blah ''But Michigan is not the only state in the U.S. that allows COVID-19-infected residents admission or readmission into nursing homes. A handful of states — including California, Minnesota, New Jersey and Pennsylvania — currently allow nursing homes to admit residents infected with COVID-19 under certain conditions'' https://www.freep.com/story/news/lo...sing-homes-take-covid-19-patients/564726/3002 NOTE: TWO ARTICLES TARGETING DEMOCRAT GOVERNORS FOR; .........ORDERING/ALLOWING INFECTED NURSING HOME RESIDENTS BACK INTO THEIR FACILITIES .........ORDERING/ALLOWING INFECTED CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS BE ADMITTED INTO NURSING HOME FACILITIES ..........ORDERING/ALLOWING NURSING HOMES TO ACCEPT COVID19 POSITIVE RESIDENTS ------------------------ Here's the hypocrisy........ FOLKS, the truth is; According to my research, numerous Republican States have also ALLOWED all of the above, such as; Arizona, Texas, and Florida. NOTE: For several months, Florida hospitals were releasing positive nursing home residents back into their facilities, and then, they were ordered to keep them until they've tested negative. FOLKS, if we all agree that admitting/re-admitting positive nursing home residents is a life threatening/reckless policy..........Can someone tell me the difference between ORDERING and ALLOWING?
The 5 Democrat governors ordered/allowed back when doctors hadn't figured out strategies for beating the virus. Did Texas, Arizona, and Florida wait until prevention and treatment made admission safe? Did they stipulate proper isolation? I remember stories on 5 governors, not 8, early in the scandal.
Ty for posting. In reference to ''OTHER'' Dem/Repub states who have ordered/alllowed said admission/re-admission, I haven't completed my research. In addition, those who believe that said admission/re-admission is ''murdering'', here's my anology; What's the difference between ORDERING a murder, and ALLOWING a murder to happen?
More research........ Anger After North Dakota Governor Asks COVID-Positive Health Staff to Stay on Job Nov 18, 2020 Nurse Leslie McKamey has gotten used to the 16-hour shifts, to skipping lunch, to the nightly ritual of throwing all her clothes in the laundry and showering as soon as she walks through the door to avoid potentially infecting her children. She’s even grown accustomed to triaging COVID patients, who often arrive at the emergency room so short of breath they struggle to describe their symptoms. But despite the trauma and exhaustion of the past eight months, she was shocked when North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum said last week that health care workers who test positive for the coronavirus but do not display symptoms could still report to work. The order, in line with CDC guidance for mitigating staff shortages, would allow asymptomatic health workers who test positive to work only in COVID units, and treat patients who already have the virus. But many feel the idea endangers the workers and their colleagues. It comes as North Dakota faces one of the worst outbreaks of COVID-19 and grapples with health care staff shortages. https://khn.org/news/anger-after-no...s-covid-positive-health-staff-to-stay-on-job/
Minnesota MN nursing homes have 81% of COVID-19 deaths, still taking positive patients, local officials weigh in May 22, 2020 State regulators in Minnesota are saying COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital are being admitted into nursing homes Many states, including New York, came under fire for a policy requiring nursing homes to admit COVID-19 positive patients. Data shows that Minnesota now has 81.4% of deaths from long term care facilities and assisted living centers. Minnesota's Department of Health did so to lower the risk of overwhelming hospitals with COVID-19 patients. https://www.valleynewslive.com/content/news/Data-shows-81-of--570708611.html
ALLOWING...... Montana nursing home sued for negligence in COVID-19 deaths Oct 21, 2020 MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A long-term care facility in Montana has been sued after health officials said its staff was negligent and allowed the coronavirus to spread through the facility in Whitefish earlier this year. Montana Public Radio reported that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a report in September saying the facility’s noncompliance had placed the health and safety of its residents at risk. The Daily Inter Lake then reported that the agency rated the facility in “immediate jeopardy.” The lawsuit claims that Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation did not implement COVID-19 safety measures recommended by both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The lawsuit claims that Crickmore knew the facility had deficiencies months before the outbreak but ignored complaints and recommended guidelines. The lawsuit alleges the facility and its parent company Sweetwater Whitefish Opco of negligence, breach of contract, wrongful death and more. https://apnews.com/article/virus-ou...ursing-homes-b0837294027920fc96dce6bb61f57538
Perhaps it was always ridiculous to think we could hide from a virus smaller than pollen. It goes wherever it wants.
