Feet reaching floor is no problem. I'm 6'2". My problem is that as I get older, my feet seem to be getting farther and farther from my hands.
6'2.......................... - - - Updated - - - That's cute. You should have a step stool in your kitchen.
My wife is 5'3". That puts her just barely shorter than me when she wears heels. Everybody wants to be tall, but women can be short and still attractive more than men can be.
I'm 65 years old and 5'7" but that's a good height for getting into my lowered Camaro with a seat sitting only 15" above the ground. Even being short it still feels like a long slow fall every time I get in it.
I'm 5'6, I'm a short fella However....I am built like a small tank due to many years of powerlifting. Being short has it's advantages in that world to some extent. Not having to move the bar as far when deadlifting does wonders when you get up there to the heavier weight...Which is something that the taller folks in the gym have no problem pointing out to me when they see me picking up heavier things than them lol Clothes shopping is a pain though because my stupid bullfrog legs don't fit into ANY pair of off the shelf jeans for my height so I always have to buy a few sizes up and wear a belt and have the bottoms himmed up lol I hate wearing baggy clothes.... It does sort of suck though when I'm at the grocery store and a woman in the aisle walks by smiling asking if I would like her to get that thing off the top shelf for me that she saw me staring at lol. Or having to grab a chair to do routine things like changing light bulbs or hanging pictures... Oh well, being short and bulky has it's perks I guess. It makes things easier like hauling furniture up 2 flights of stairs when moving into a house by yourself...
I'll say this.As a Film buff,to this day one of The Most Powerful Movie lines ever uttered was in the movie - Titanic - {1957} starring Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck. In the last scene of the Movie,Clifton Webb who plays an International jet setter who is all pride and prejudice and lives for his uppityness. He is very proud of his son and wants desperately to have him follow exactly in his footsteps. However during the voyage,{ Webb sneaks on board at the last minute after paying a high price for a ticket even though it's in the steerage class } he confronts his Wife who was attempting to take his son and daughter from him Via the Titanic Crossing. The father learns after much bickering from wife { Stanwyck } that his son, who is the apple of his eye, isn't his. That Wife { Stanwyck } had a very quick weekend affair with a man she can't even remember his name. And it was he who was the real father. After learning this devasting fact,Father Webb,is changed. He no longer is joyed to see and play Cruise games with his son.So he emerses himself in Bridge games { all nighters }. Webb, who was very accustomed to travelling first class and knew something was wrong after the Oceanliner staggered { a slight jilt } and was quick to go to the Pilot's cabin and confront the Captain. He found out that the ship had struck a berg and may have as much as 2 hours left before going down. The Father is joined by his son later as the lifeboats are manned and his son purposedly stayed behind { was supposed to be in a lifeboat with the women and children }. The Father quickly scatters to find a lifeboat for his son. They are all filled and departed. The Father and son are on deck with the other men as the Band slowly starts up playing a popular British national song. As the Father holds his son close to him and looks out into the night beaming with pride he says : " I've been proud of you every day of your life.Never as much as at this moment.I feel tall as a mountain. "
How tall one is ... is like asking how big one's feet. Or hands { president Trump was faced with that by Senator Rubio } It means NOTHING. Actually less than nothing. Judy Garland was not even 5 foot tall. She was 4'11" Secretary of State Madeline Albright was even shorter .Like 4' 10". Mickey Rooney was short and yet it never ONCE hampered his acting or ability to garner roles for 7 decades in Hollywood. Being Tall is rewarded in Hollywood.Just like being a Busty Blond in the 50's. I think it is unfair to dwell on height. I was 5'11" in High school and grew another inch in college. But I also grew a beer belly in college.I made it my business to play basketball { I practiced after work } like a champion.I was always interested in basketball and played for 3 years years on my parochial school Lightweight Basketball team. However I was a choker.I tended to freeze-up when put into a game. Just like when I leaned tennis { spent many a summer practicing Tennis } I tended to choke. There is Nothing one can do to change or influence their height. So why even bother talking about. God is never gonna ask one how tall they were. How big a house or fancy a job title. But what kinda man or woman they were. Did they treat others fairly and with consideration.
