How would you solve the Transgender conundrum?

No one is claiming genetic make up changes in a person.
Just like gays, trans people knew they were different about the time every person starts to understand their sexuality. Anywhere from 5-10 yrs old, depending on the individual.

When you say "Religious People"....I suppose you are talking of people that hold to a faith beyond themselves as opposed to people that belong to an organization. No, women have been questioned about femininity since women sports began. That's only been in the last 50 yrs or so.
Women do compete in men's sports. It's not very many, but they do. And are allowed per some sports and rules. Girls have played on boys football teams. Even at the college level. One anyway.

 

I don't think the Sumerian's allowed women to wrestle men, fella...if they did they called it sex.

I gave the answer I think conservatives will give. With all due respect I do think most of them beat their children into submission on most things.

I think children should pick their own gender. They should be given toys and books appropriate to both and let them play with whatever they like. In group settings let them play with whoever they want to.

 

In the Original Greek Olympic games women weren't allowed to compete in or even watch the games. Only men performed and they did it naked just to make sure no women sneaked in.
Thankfully attitudes to women have changed since ancient times. Well, in most people anyway. Attitudes towards transgender athletes will change too given enough time.

 

Today's liberals are yesterday's conservatives.
As people realize and lose their fear, that others who don't look like and act exactly the same as them, are still good people.
Also, it becomes less relevant to younger people who've never dealt with discrimination of a certain group.

Blacks marrying whites was an outrage at one time. Now even many old people don't care.
Gays were shunned from society until 30 yrs or so ago. Now, kids have friends who are gay because they don't need to hide in a closest and they don't care at all. But since it's relatively new to society, the older generations still would like to shun gays.

Trans is just the next group that have this fight.
