    I agree.

Student Loans should only be available to help stimulate focus on disciplines that are in great need. These would be in the STEM courses. Loans should not be wasted on degrees outside that area of knowledge.

Colleges and Universities have been exploiting free money being provided by young people lacking any wisdom or life experience. Going into massive debt on some fantasy they will be able to make payments when they graduate is absurd.

Amazing, because if they don't produce, their jobs are in jeopardy, yes?

Actually, getting admitted to many of these schools is the hardest part since they have so many applicants. Once admitted, the probability is they they will succeed and maybe even learn something.

Fear not! A study on the results of students who could have gone to Ivy League schools but didn't found that they made nearly as much as their Ivy League counterparts within a short amount of time after leaving college. The Ivy Leagues don't make the students, the students make the Ivy Leagues. The same was true in a different study of people who could have gone to college but didn't. They ended up making as much as those who had gone to college, just worked in fields that didn't require a college degree. The determining factor isn't the degree but the IQ of the person.

Hard work and determination probably have as much t do with it. I have known some geniuses who literally did not have enough sense to get out of the rain.

A college degree gets you in the door and I suppose the more prestigious schools get you in better doors. However, once you get through that door, the degree will not do much for you.

It is actually fun to watch the liberal media immediately hype this story only to find out that most of the participants were large donors to the democratic party... And now, having to dance around the politics of those who are now charged and still be hysterical about the abuse... I find it entirely amusing to watch as the obviously conflicted media are discovering they were used to attack their masters...

So you want it to continue unabated?

Because without jail time for all who broke the law(s) that's what will happen......sure, like any law there are scumbags who break it....that's no reason to let them off with a teeny slap n the wrist.

The Worship of The Wealthy Gods continues...

Yes, they'll learn that "success" is measured in how many laws you can break, how many people it's acceptable to screw over, they will learn how to do money laundering(an essential skill for the rich), how to cheat and lie your way to the top, how to buy their stupid children's way into college( a generational thing) ...and what lovely people will come out of those colleges..

65 years is ridiculous for any non violent crime let alone a chickencrap crime like this. America is the prison capital of the world by far already. Prison should be a last resort used for extreme public safety purposes in my opinion. Not for first offenders of victimless crimes. I really don’t give a rat’s ass whether some rich brats parents paid to get their kids into college. The scumbag who made money should be fined heavily and the idiots who paid him should be exposed and embarrassed along with their imbecile children. When Trump was caught for cheating morons who paid for his bullshit university, he was forced to pay millions of dollars, not sent to prison. In my opinion, those morons who forked over the $$ should be exposed too.

The land based university/college system is now an obsolete boondoggle. Government should not subsidize it, and parents should find alternatives for their children.

I don’t know champ, nor do I care. Rich people have been buying their brats way into college, kindergarten, dance school and sports teams as long as there have been colleges. This is about the rich wing champ and has nothing to do with Demikin or Republicrats. Get it now. You are as bad as the imbeciles who blame second amendment proponents every time someone gets shot. Get a new schtick.

    Three questions:
    1. Is there any actual evidence that Trump's or Bush's parents paid bribes to get them into Wharton, Yale or Harvard?
    2. What are the odds that it would not have been discovered by opposition research long ago?
    3. Why did the DP cover this up for them? ;-)

Then why did you and others lay this Left Wing scandal on "Right wingers"?

"Right wingers with their new figure head Trump would be likely to support this type of action." Jack4

People with large wealth think they are entitled to all the perks in society even the one that says it's ok to cheat because you are rich....Side Note: Jesus wants to know where his cut is......

Why is it blind folks like yous can't see the forest for the trees? It's all about what class you be in, not which party you vote for....

Because the "Forest" here isn't the class. It actually is the party. Head to toe, these were folks who thought their investments in the NDP should have shielded them from this type of public scrutiny, and clearly, this is just another awesome example of the "do as I say, not as I do crowd" that populates that party.

The actual irony here is that the liberal media didn't get they were castigating their own masters until suddenly, like this morning, they had to significantly modify their narrative so that it didn't highlight the actual folks involved and started lamenting about the actions. Which is, actually, laughable.

I look at it this way. "Selective" universities are elitist bastions of snobbery. The fact that now most folks who didn't attend those universities can find pay equivalency in the market is just gravy on top. And the bonus here is that HR shops are actively attacking the "unconscious bias" used to promote those elitist schools because, frankly, their progeny are simply just as average as everyone else's, which is demonstrated by the need for the rich liberal folk to otherwise corrupt the selection process to satisfy their desire to push their kids into them. And isn't that laughable.
