She's still a beautiful woman. She to me is the epitome of the "girl next door". What a bouncy, shiny, all American look she had. I love the interview I saw with her and Hef, from many decades ago, when she was talking about how he pursued her - she was on some TV show with him, "Playboy After Dark" I think. She was 18 at the time and he was in his early 40s. She said she told him "I never dated anyone older than 24." and he responded "That's okay. Neither have I." I love that!
Your view of culture perhaps. But in the end no one's value as a human can be objectively measured by their contribution to one persons view of what culture means.
They wanted to be used as sex objects. That's the only reason they came to Hef. It's not like he sent out minions to cities throughout America and captured girls that he wanted in his magazine. You must have never looked at one his books.
I had a High School teacher that would look through the newest magazine each month. She skipped past the pictures and rad the articles, so she said. Thinking back now, I'm very surprised the school let her do that back in 1997 and 1998.
Used to be a topless barbershop and topless shoe shine in Denver. I never got around to patronizing either. Don't think they are still in business.
Your definition of the term needs reconsidering. Most likely they appreciated, on an unconscious level, his contribution to the emasculation of the American male. Damn right he was. There's no telling how many divorces, rapes, suicides and murders his objectification of women was partly responsible for. Sure they can. That hardly means they aren't victims of men who, in pursuit of self-serving ends, manipulate them into deciding foolishly. A pioneer in the abuse of free speech that lured millions into psychic slavery, is more like it. Do you? Really? They couldn't find guys on their block who would do that? So what?
okay, drop out of society and eat berries. that's an option. the fact that it sucks bad enough to not be a realistic option proves my point.
You're not that far off. Actually respecting women is one of the qualities that attracted my girlfriend to me, since she's a staunch feminist. And the sex life is a hell of a lot better than with my staunchly anti-feminist ex.
