They are not in conflict. I provided a scientific definition of race and cited a source showing that it is not applicable to humans. Keita is a respected Biological Anthropologist which is very easy to prove.
Then it follows if there are no different human races there can not be racism, only judging men by the content of their character. I like that.
There can unfortunately still be racism because racists think that human races exist and call people with different phenotypes races. I agree with you that what we should do is judge people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin or any other superficial characteristic.
Then the racists need to be ignored, and they will eventually get tired of yelling at themselves and go home. Of course we need to shun the race hustlers promoting racism for their own self aggrandisement and profit.
To me that last part is the most influential reason for the issue of "race" in today's society. Both sides, black and white have turned this thing that does not exist "race" into dividing lines for the purpose of POWER and MONEY. I think Race is USED to nefarious purposes to be honest. I believe it is currently being "used" to downplay the real issue with our para military, fascist, police force. So many people are claiming race has to do with what's been happening as far as shootings go. I would argue it has more to do with general oppression and class distinction. I believe Race is being used because it's easy to use and it works. I believe making this issue about race will only further the efforts of those who want to de-arm the average US citizen and give more power to an all ready powerful policing regime. But I'm sure most won't see it that way, which is exactly why Race is used. It's easy to believe a cop is racist. It's not easy to believe that Cops shouldn't be bugging ANYONE white or black for selling lose cigarettes, shouldn't be putting anyone who protests peacefully in a stranglehold. I also think in the Ferguson case, you don't go after a guy with a gun, cop or not. You act violently or aggressively towards someone with a gun you will probably get shot. That person with the gun can NOT afford to NOT use the gun, and have it taken from them by the "aggressive" person and then have it used against them. Of course, in today's TV moralist society, I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion. But if you act aggressively towards someone with a gun, and you don't have a gun, you should still expect to get shot. I'm sorry, but someone with a gun SHOULD use that gun even if the other person is unarmed because again, if that unarmed person gets a hold of the gun, there is very little stopping them from using it. Different subject I guess, but an example of how this fake thing called race can be USED to further nefarious purposes.
