Not really, I come from a family that almost all served, my father retired after 30, I did 8 and my youngest son did 8, I never intended to make it a career, so no regrets. Funny thing is for the first 8 years out of the service I did a lot of work for the DOD, the pay was better though, not to mention the hours. Yes, that is the bridge that lead to the JSA area, our function was to pull the JSA MPs out if things got hairy. Was an interesting job to say the least, but I did like Korea as a duty station.

It was a small unit and no, you wouldn't have had any reason to go there. I arrived there in December of 1976, just months after the attack at the Bridge of No Return. Had you been there then you would have been fighting North Koreans.
