OMG. I go away for a few days and the world falls apart. I watched you grow up right here, Kyle. You came in and became a guru within a month or was it 2 weeks? I thought you'd never be a mod in a hundred years but before I knew it, you were not only a mod but fair and thoughtful. I often thought you and I modded very much alike. I hope you take that as a compliment. Haha! But I'm glad you quit. You're young. Get your face out of a lighted box and go out and have fun.
When I first came here Mak was one of the first Mods I debated with, intelligent, fair and always interesting. She did her job the same way. I always enjoy posters that post with a ''flare'', she definitely did that she was my favorite. Good luck Mak, and I hope you post as often as possible. Oh and please do not forget those most memorable threads of yours.,,,so much fun...
Good luck in your martial arts training, I have learned a lot about Australia from your posts. Very good country, and minimum wage laws, hope to visit one day. Thanks for your volunteer services.
Thanks for your kind words. I know I made the right decision. My Sensei today was texting me, and she told me that I was - her words - 'freaking awesome' and she wants to nominate me for the Sempai program next time it comes around. A Sempai is a Sensei in training. She thinks I would make a good instructor!!! Holy mother of God. Me???? I was wondering whether a career in martial arts would be my calling, and now the door has opened wide for me, if I want it, I need to choose whether to step through that door... This time though, I told her that I didn't have enough confidence, but the door will remain open for me until such time I am ready. I will be eventually. She believes in me!!! I am so happy that I have found my path in life!
Mak---I came across this rather late; been on vacation and lost touch a bit. Wanted to say how much I enjoyed working with you all those years. Like The12thMan said and as I told you before......I was a bit reluctant at first that you could be a fair Mod, based on ALL the personal friends you had here. However, IMHO, you proved yourself to be one of the very best Mods, unbiased, and much respected by all of us. Thanks for all the years and friendship! You were part of the team that put in place rules of fairness and for that reason and even though things have changed greatly, ALL of us who worked so hard towards that goal.... have much to be proud of!! Good luck with your Karate!! My daughter-in-law is working on her Black Belt too. My son has 2 Black Belts. JP5
