Every flag is someone's property or public property.

    Hats, too.

Sure. Every flag does in fact belong to someone. I can do as I see fit with any of the ones I own; as can you. I cannot do the same with the flags you own. Nor can you do as you wish with the ones I own. And yes, the same applies to hats. Understand?

Stealing and burning property is not a 1st amendment issue. This is some pretty wild nonsense getting slung around at the moment. Do you only feel this way because it was an LGBT flag? Would you feel the same if he stole and burned an American flag?

Wrong. Petty theft, like here, is a misdemeanor. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theft

Most commonly, the penological consequences of the distinction include the significant one that grand theft can be treated as a felony, while petty theft is generally treated as a misdemeanor.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arson

While usually a felony, arson may also be prosecuted as a misdemeanor,[19] "criminal mischief", or "destruction of property."[20]

What are the other offenses besides destroying someone else's property? Hurting your feelings?

I don't agree with crime of any sort, nor do I support destroying flags or signs, which is a misdemeanor not a crime.

Accusing other posters of supporting crime based on absolutely nothing is a blatant breach of forum rules by the way. The only reason I'm not reporting this post is because I want to see that kind of extremism stand in broad daylight for everyone to see.

You’re really going to accuse me of not knowing what I’m talking about? Are you sure that not you?

“A misdemeanor is a criminal offense that is less serious than a felony and more serious than an infraction. Misdemeanors are generally punishable by a fine and incarceration in a local county jail, unlike infractions which impose no jail time. Many jurisdictions separate misdemeanors into three classes: high or gross misdemeanors, ordinary misdemeanors, and petty misdemeanors. Petty misdemeanors usually contemplate a jail sentence of less than six months and a fine of $500 or less.”

    https://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-law-basics/misdemeanors.html

Can’t say I know what the offender’s previous crimes are as I didn’t see any listed. It was stated however that previous offenses were taken into account during the sentencing.

Feel free to report me. I’m sure the mods would see plenty of evidence within this thread to backup my assessment.
