Wait, you think a 16.5 year old dog and a dog with a broken back are comparable to a healthy 14 month old dog!!
I'm not sure these people because of their location are that different than people who live in the city. I think the primary difference is proximity and availability of veterinarians.
What about it? I mean other than the dog was injured and going to die anyway, keep in mind dogs that attack people are typically required to be destroyed.
No but a dog that attacks other animals which this one did and that attacks people which this one also did is condemned to euthanasia.
no but I can see a reason to shoot a healthy dog. in many parts of ohio, dogs chasing deer are properly shot. in parts of the south, packs of feral dogs are a real problem in quail country. they kill the quail and attack hunting dogs.
I don't have dogs anymore, but sometimes someone drops one off. Quit making stuff up. I have never said a word about killing every dog I meet. Knock off the personal comments. Just comment on what I say. No exaggerations. No making stuff up.
The irony here is ...... ironic. First, many here who are triggered by Noem shooting an aggressive dog have zero problem with abortion without requiring any justification or explanation. Second, somehow we've gotten to the point that cross country affairs with starlets and sketchy fatal accidents (the kennedy clan) and oval office blowjobs and "grab em by the p{}$$y" are not big political liabilities, but shooting an aggressive dog is. We have met the enemy and he is us.
Fetuses don't bite, but they can kill the mother. And BTW, fetuses are not babies, they don't become babies till they breathe their first breath.
Well, you're entitled to your opinion on when a fetus becomes a being. It doesn't change the fact that supporting abortion and triggering over shooting a dog is ironic. Don't you agree?
The thing that gets me about this whole story, is why did she mention this at all in her book? What message is she trying to convey? On a basic level, I find it quite ironic as to how disposable she believes life to be. It's use and lose if it doesn't work how you want it to. It's no stretch of the imagination to view her as a Cruella. Did no one edit this book?
Keep in mind that the "attack people" is highly in doubt here in SD with people that know her. Another point about the animals being attacked. According to Noem, the dog was a pheasant hunting dog and would just chase the birds and the animals it killed were birds.
Your stories don't have anything to do with healthy dogs is what I'm pointing out. Yes, there are reasons to kill healthy dogs. If that's your thing, they could use you on the rez where there is a big dog problem. My last 3 dogs were adopted from the rez. As a 16 yr. old I was deer hunting with a friend. We were in a dense grove of young pine trees and could hear deer running towards us. My friend saw they were being chased by a dog and shot it. It ended up being his brothers dog. Fun fact: In NY (at the time) dogs killed more deer than hunters.
The biggest thing around here is white black and brown trash having to own pit bulls that they can't seem to keep on their own damn property. I'm getting to the point now where I'm getting ready to dispatch a couple of them that keep coming on my property and have growled at my girlfriend on our own front porch. I have used a bull whip several times in the past to back up aggressive pits when I was riding my bike. I never had to strike them but just crack it loud as hell in their face and that usually does the trick.
I grew up on a farm and I never once saw a dog killed by a farmer. Not even Frisky who only had three legs. Training them not to attack livestock nor my older brothers was not hard work. We had chickens, pigs and cows. Dogs are not stupid unlike some of their lazy owners.
