Global warming is caused by too much matter and fluids changing forms. this form changing is caused by man and nature, as deserts formed by themselves due to the closeness of the sun to the earth. this has been gradual. but, the changes we make in the world we live in, from burning oil to cutting down trees, to building sky scrapers, will result in global warming - as energy changes forms,it excites the electron orbitals that make things warm, in the air, in the water... everywhere.

This is a guess. i hope you can prove me wrong if you disagree. CO2 is just one factor.

But as we all know, CO2 changing from 0.0315% to 0.0390% over the better part of a century is CATASTROPHIC!!!! It makes hurricanes in the GOM disappear, hasn't changed surface temperatures in 15+ years, and causes nuclear winters in New England!!

All quite distressing....which is the entire point of course. If you aren't slack jawed and drooling in fear, having nightmares over the effects of warming, and driving a Prius then you are a denier!!

Why does it really matter? Climate change happens regardless of Man's input to the environment. Why play shell games with Statism instead of finding better solutions at lower cost?

Yep and when the earth was warmer there was more arable land. When the earth warms it does not warm unilaterally but more towards the poles so more land is tillable land north and south of the equator when it warms.

Actually, most are just studies that are interpreted by the IPCC which reports to politicians on what the small cadre in charge of the report wish to convey. Many of those alleged 'deniers' like John Christy and Judy Curry have contributed to the IPCC.

Can you try to explain it to me again? the way i see it, it is like a pressure cooker of sorts, where, there is a build up of heat as liquid and matter become gases, gases that are heated by the change of form. if we were to wait a while, it would cool down, but, we are adding to this effect everyday.
