If the smelly hippies had their way it would be.

    Hippies suck.

Interstate sale of raw milk is a crime. We have lost the freedom to buy raw milk from a person in another state. That's one example of the loss of freedom that you asked for.

Wow, what an excellent argument. I may have to re-think my position.

He's right of course. Anarchy would be the best government possible but in order for it to work selfish greed has to be limited and virtually eliminated.
Without intervention by a power, such as the government or strong unions, uninhibited greed has a bad track record. Prior to the 1900's there were few or no unions and little government regulation. We wound up with the industrialists paying far, far below a living wage because people were desperate. 1890 gave us the anti trust laws to break up some of the greed and the early 1900s saw unions gain power. If the other industrialists were like Henry Ford there would not be unions. He was very anti union because he didn't think there should exist a need for one, a union was a sign of bad management, employees should be paid well and treated well without having to fight. OK, he took it too far and got into their personal lives a little too deeply but the concept was good, share the wealth and we all get what we want.
Today, thanks to unions being weakened jobs that would have stayed left because the unions couldn't stop the greed. Time was because of unions industries wouldn't consider going overseas unless there was a compelling reason such as building market share. If the compelling reason was there then the union would go with them. No, the new workers wouldn't get the same contracts as their US counterparts but they still had representation and undoubtedly better conditions than their non-union compatriots and the US jobs stayed put.
Wealth is being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands which will force the government or unions to intervene.
If you can come up with a way that makes the hyper rich recognize that their greed will cost them in the end without government or union intervention please share. I mean seriously, do they really need solid gold bidets with diamond studded faucets in each of the 12 bathrooms of their camping lodge? Wouldn't gold plated ones with garnets work just as well for them? I'd rather not have another Haymarket square incident but we're in a headlong rush towards one and sadly the solution isn't going to be less government.

So you used to travel to another state to purchase raw milk, did you? THIS is your example of lost freedoms? Hahaha

    Here was the question:
The answer: The freedom to purchase raw milk from whomever one wishes.

You're clear on what anarchy is, and isn't, now though, right?

Except you never purchased raw milk in the past so how is that a lost freedom?
And again...I can purchase raw milk in my state

There are plenty of countries in Africa that can accurately be described as having "the least possible government" and they are all garbage pile countries.

Um, law removed that freedom. The law made it illegal to purchase raw milk.

Jefferson was talking about Virginia, not Africa.

I understand it to be what the official dictionary definition says it is.

What's the point of making up your own definition, when it's just going to make you look ill-informed or just plain silly?

So Jefferson's quote only applies to one US state?

Not entirely. As I keep telling you, I can legally purchase raw milk if I so choose. So can't many other people in various states.

They made it illegal to sell raw milk. You can still buy a cow and get your own milk.

Right. Someone asked a question about what freedoms regulations have eliminated. Buying raw milk was my example of one of thousands of freedoms that have been eliminated by regulation.

You can have all the raw milk you want. Buy a cow. Pay a farmer to raise it. And get your own milk.

You can't buy cyanide-laced candy either. Do you think that should be legal to sell as well.

But I can't buy it. I don't have that freedom?
