The number of people who support fringe right wing politics like fascism is about as large as those on the left who support fringe left wing politics like communism and intersectional class war. Which is to say it is extremely small.

The vast, vast majority of people just want what's best and bear no ill will toward anyone.

There are legitimate grievances on both sides.

If we marginalise those on the left who have legitimate grievances about discrimination it will push them toward the extreme.

If you marginalise those on the right who have legitimate grievances about intersectionality it will push them toward the extreme.

We need to come together, moderates on all sides, to condemn violence in all its forms. Period. No matter the reasoning, no matter the justification, the only way we get through this is by calling out those on both sides.

Sadly, this will never happen, so the white working class will be pushed into fascism and the intersectional coalition will be pushed toward communism

And this shooter will succeed in dividing us.

I might be able to understand his views on Muslims. We have some here in our government who won't swear in on the Bible. Who won't pledge allegiance to the country they are sworn to serve. Who believe in Sharia law over American law and do not want to assimilate into American society. It's been shown that many of the Muslims who were drawn into terrorism, were drawn into it from imam and clerics from American mosques. What kind of religion preaches hate instead of love in their most holy place? Muslims have sworn that their flag will one day fly over our White House. If you don't love our country, why would you want to live here. Why wouldn't you want to assimilate into our society? I realize all Muslims aren't bad. But most believe if they don't go strictly by the Koran, they can't be a good Muslim. The trouble they are having around the globe, I doubt very much what little Trump has said set them off. They have televisions and radios. They know what is happening around the world/

You're the 4th or 5th progressive here at PF who's reacted with mockery when I've tried to explain or demonstrate what it is that makes people like Brenton Tarrant tick ( and to a far lesser extent conservatives in general). Do you not see the problem with that?

This type of reaction is part of the problem. It's quite confusing also... because on the one hand we're warned of the severe danger posed by 'rightwing terrorism', but then on the other, the same people who're making the claims of said danger will turn right around and do/support the things which make these guys snap.

So be it I guess.
