    No kidding.

    But, seriously...

...did anybody actually think (for REAL) that Trump would do any of that?

It was not a major reason Trump won the election. Hillary won't be prosecuted. She is above the law.

There is also the impediment of the US featuring due process in its system of jurisprudence.

"Lock her up! Lock her up!"
is the mob approach toward political opponents in some third-world nations but, despite years of fatwa by Republican-run Congressional committees and the far-right fake news, much to their chagrin, they were simply unable to contrive a credible pretext to indict her or, obviously, they would have done.

If she did drop a 40 kilo block of lime Jello® off a 4-storey building onto Vince Foster's noggin, she appears to have gotten away with it.

He couldn't work all his wonders at once.

He had to "immediately" repeal 'ObamaCare' and replace it with "something terrific!" that covers "everybody!"

    Recklessness (law)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recklessness_(law)
In any statutory definition of a crime, malice must be taken ... as requiring either: (1) an actual intention to do the particular kind of harm that in fact was done;.......In criminal law and in the law of tort, recklessness may be defined as the state of mind where a person deliberately and unjustifiably pursues a course of action while consciously disregarding any risks flowing from such action.[1] Recklessness is less culpable than intentional wickedness, but is more blameworthy than careless behaviour.
