I checked out the researcher and he seems legit. Though I imagine his career isn't helped by any data that goes against the narrative...

Exactly! Many whistleblower scientists have been pointing this out for about 2 years now. It's how the immune system works, and it's how true herd immunity is reached.

My physician father told me the same thing in the 50's after I had caught measles, and before there was a vaccine. He was right.

I've had antibodies since July 2020. I've had prolonged exposure to the original and to the delta variant from coworkers with no effect. I test for antibodies every 2 months when I donate blood.

I'm still careful around my parents, but now I just live a normal life.

yep, yet not necessarily the variants, same is true of covid

both are very contagious and spread some before the immune system can get them in check, makes it hard to stop varrients

Given the skyrocketing inflation on groceries since Democrats took full control, this does add some positive spin for those who need to cut back on meals due to inflation.

I would like to see more on this because I've been taught that protein and iron are needed when undergoing chemo, not to fast.

the price increases are due to a change in consumer spending habits, more eating at home and less eating out

distributors were not prepared for this change, which requires packaging changes of supply to consumer packaging vs bulk corporate packaging - even with toilet paper

I did not know about fasting when I had Chemo, though I wish I had

right: you were probably told to eat fish, eat red meat or liver.

Definitely need to hear more about this but it flies in the face of the concept that if you are weak, the worst thing to do is deny sustenance which would further weaken you

    who knows????

they served donuts, coffee (with sugar packets) and orange juice while getting chemo, high sugar foods, sugar feeds cancer, it's crazy

I did not learn about high carbs feeding cancer until about a year later, as I was researching eating healthier as my nerves were shot, had no energy, and was becoming pre-diabetic

cancer doctors should have known this already and told us

No and since Tetanus can survive in the gut not everyone who gets Tetanus gets it from a rusty dirty nail

Of the cases I have looked after

2 were from gardening and possible rise thorns one was from scratch on the leg one we never did find out one was a cut from an oyster shell and one was from an infected gall bladder

Who seems? Because there was more than one quotation and the main name they through around had nothing to do with the latter research paper that they sort of cited

Immunity does not mean "cannot get infected ever again".

So what does "immunity" mean? You can't catch it the day after you have recovered?

LOL You even wrote "and that immunity lasts for life."!

Quite pointless being specifically immune to a virus that no longer exists

Tried google scholar or are you relying on the old “if I have not heard of it it must not have happened” criteria ?

The article you linked aligns with what Steve N posted...did you realize that? Saying the same thing but more...more insite in the political nature of this pandemic.

As those of us who actually deal with autoimmune issues know, fasting does NOT reset one's autoimmune system. This has been sold in one form or another for decades.

I'm sure that fasting for 2-4 days at a time will do wonders for anything that ails ya. Just keep emergency supplies on hand for when you pass out, eh? *epic eye roll*

Unsurprisingly, your opinion conflicts with the science.

I hope someday you migrate to better sources of information. Your source now is very ignorant of facts of virology and immunology.

I've never made fun of or denied anyone to protect themselves however they see fit. My parents are vaccinated. I just ask the same.

My military son had been out of covid quarantine for 4 days when his commander ordered to get a vaccine he didn't need by the end of the day or face a dishonorable discharge. His choice was denied.

It means that the adaptive immune system now recognizes the specific virus and can attack it more effectively than it could before having said recognition. For the most part, this means that one will not become symptomatic upon re-exposure to that virus. Also remember that some people have immune systems that function better than other people's immune systems do.

I did, because it does. Your adaptive immune system will always recognize that specific virus from the exposure moment onward.

    COVID no longer exists??

Yes but at least it is a VALID source - now did you read the full article or just skim the first paragraph? If you had read the entire article you would be able to understand all aspects of this rather than deciding which side is “bad” based on which side of politics you like - something that happens all too frequently on this board

It would help if you stuck to the same story. And what is COVID? Are you referring to Covid-19 or SARS or MERS or one of the other many many Corona viruses? Rhetorical question as bored with this debate with you going around in circles

I have. What have I not stuck to?

"COVID" is the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus... It is also used in a manner to say "COVID-19" in a way that involves slightly less typing.

I've been straight as an arrow about this, dude. What have I "gone in circles" about?

as someone who had severe allergies, a long fast did help, it's not a total reset, but it helped dramatically

2-4 days is not very long, that is why we store fat, early humans did not have fridges and easy access to food

fasting causes autophagy, the ultimate cleanse, one that is natural and the body was designed for

the the longest person to have fasted, was for over one year, though he did take vitamins and electrolytes and had lots of fat stored on his body, that is why it's there, for times when food is scarce

but yes, always check with a doctor first, make sure you're healthy enough for a fast

    https://www.healthline.com/health/autophagy

"Autophagy is the body’s way of cleaning out damaged cells, in order to regenerate newer, healthier cells, according to Priya Khorana, PhD, in nutrition education from Columbia University."
