Actually I was pointing out that Republicans have become so partisan that they would vote for anyone as long as they have an R next to their name. Trump won mainly because many DEMOCRATS voted for him because they hated Hillary.

Republicans will never do that. Even Republicans who claim they are never Trumpers would vote for him to avoid voting for a Democrat. I mean, Republicans would happily vote for Hitler if he ran under their party (which he likely would since the Neo-Nazis who would support him are mostly Republican)

    1) "debt to GDP" is only one measure of fiscal responsibility -
    2) Just because other nations might be fiscally irresponsible doesn't mean we have to be

That said - Your claim is completely false ! Who is feeding you these falsehoods ?

    http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/countries-by-national-debt/

Your claim is not even close to being true - it is patent nonsense. The only nations in Europe that are higher than the US are Greece, Portugal and Italy.

I like a lot of what Trump has done. I'll likely vote for him the next time
Don't have much say in it anyway I love in Texas and by the time we get to vote it's pretty well established who the front runner is.

    Everyone? At best it's 5%.

Yeah they end up voting for DNC or GOP. It's a two party system. What else would they view for a crazy third party?

And that was my way of agreeing with you :) Before you judge, I wasn't always a Republican, Popz was UAW Kennedy Democrat, Momz was too.. Although my Dad died a Democrat he was none to proud of what they had become, my Mom is 85 still a registered Democrat and living in the Bay area, and she too is not so proud of what the Democrats have become..

Here is something weird. My mom still has two surviving siblings, a sister "Retired high school teacher, San Jose" and a Brother born and raised in Wyoming and a Korean war Vet.. The sister despises todays Leftist agenda and ideology, the brother on the other hand absolutely loves Russian culture and thinks Lil Kim and N. Korea is the best thing since metallurgy! And yes he absolutely loves todays leftist, only complaint he has is they aren't far enough toward socialism but I love him all the same :)

    I don't think it's "pandering".

I don't think it's enough already until all the things people such as yourself take for granted are taken for granted by all.

But, uhhhh, why not vote for Biden? Why won't he represent your white maleness? Which, btw, sounds very much like the way Trumpsters sound, as if they are the victim. Enough already!

You need your own party now. So organize one or take over another party like the Constitution Party. . Once upon a time there were Whigs, and Federalists both of which nominated and won presidential elections. But you had better do it quickly!

Old Data. I need to up date, Last I check Germany was much higher but that was back Before Obama and Bush doubled the debt during their terms. And lets not forget that Bush added more debt via the Medicare part D drug plan than the war in Iraq most of the cost of which was salaries which had to be paid in any case.

I’d prefer that no one cast a vote for a neoliberal. As a rule of thumb any candidate professing to be “realistic” or offering protection for the status quo is likely a neoliberal.

Also note that big change in this country requires us to do the heavy lifting and in general we’re lazy and easily manipulated.

The notion that “socialism” will run rampant in this country is laughable—hysterically buckling over to your knees so. And another meme to protect an indefensible status quo.

    That said, vote your conscience.

That said number two, Edwin Sutherland coined the phrase ‘white collar crime’ in a study he conducted after the Great Depression. He also used ‘business is crime ( in America)’ to describe the sociology of the business environment of the time.

We cleaned that up but we’re right back into that environment thanks to neoliberal public policy. For example, I worked for a huge multinational corporation when the economy started to unravel a decade ago or so. My colleagues in Finance literally worked 24/7 to clean up what they believed was common practice—it was. However it was practice so outside the bounds of legality that a doofus like myself with an hour of reading would clearly understand it was illegal. They were post graduate highly respected professionals that prior to that moment could not discern right from wrong in their environment. Criminals? Hell no! These were good people, naive, but good people.

We’ve got to clean up this environment again and we don’t seem to learn from our history when comes to business practice.

The inequity in our system isn’t magical neither was the leveling out post Great Depression magical or the less gross inequity pre Great Depression magical.

They were all products of public policy.
It’s way past time the neoliberals were shown the door.

I too am an anti-Trump Republican and I will vote for any Democrat that wins the nomination. Trump is destroying our democracy
and, in my view, he will turn our country into an autocracy. A dangerous and incompetent con-man this Trump person is.

Which is acceptable instead of what we have now. I can support Kasich or Romney. Trump is all about lining his pockets.

Again, Trump is all about lining his pockets. What his business ventures are producing is irrelevant. He announced at his UN
address that he was worth 10 billion dollars, an increase of 7 billion dollars over the previous years when he announced that he was worth 3 billion dollars. Most of his ventures throughout to world are doing just fine, except his golf course in Ireland. He has used the office of president to increase his net worth.

You anti-Trumpers claim he lies all the time except when he "announced at his UN address that he was worth 10 billion dollars."

    Make up your damn minds.

Does Trump always lie or only when you want him to lie?

It's the Dems who are Orwellian.

They seek to change our language (marriage). They seek expansion of big brother (free college, free abortions, free medical care, etc). They seek to use the government bureaucracy as a political weapon (IRS, Justice Dept, FBI). They seek to force cultural change on us (open borders). They seek to alter our lifestyle (no planes, no cows).

The agenda is radical and Orwellian.

Marriage is a civil contract and there was no reason to exclude gay people. You sought to impose your definition of morality.
Education is the best investment we can make as a society.
Healthcare isn’t too far behind — it’s a much better policy than “get sick and die or lose your home” that the new Republican Party advocates
Yes because all extremist democrats represent the typical democrat... do you support running over and killing protesters, shooting up schools, blowing up abortion clinics, calling for a holy war and murder? All things endorsed by a few republicans so it must represent them all, right?

I am actually a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. (AKA, responsible and moral)

A registered republican whose first presidential vote was for Jerry Ford.

I think I was very clear. I am willing to wait till my debt is paid before I acquire new debt. Just like I do in my personal life.
I do without until I can afford something.
