But this is all TRUE - no civilized democracy today is compatible with Islamic law of a woman's testimony being worth HALF that of a man's, or a woman getting HALF the inheritance of a man, or allowing a man to BEAT his wife (Q4:34, Shakir). Yes, we do HATE those Islamic policieS (and I've yet to converse with a Muslim who will condemn Mohammad for advocating Islamic Law.). So this is simply TRUE: "Islam and the West are incompatible and the US hates you".

 

By the same logic, Christianity and Judaism are in the same boat. Nevertheless, it is common for both camps to simply ignore those verses here in the West.

 

Then they are intellectual cowards: "sure it's inspired by an all-knowing god, but I'm going to ignore it anyway." But you are correct that most all religious people are hypocrites.
