That said - what about these Lads that want to join ISIS. We should not rush to judgement. Perhaps they were joining the "Good" ISIS - the Moderate ISIS. Perhaps these boys are true Patriots - and just want to join the fight to remove Assad and make Sharia the Law of the Land in Syria ?

What is wrong with that ? How is it not Patriotic to support the cause that our Gov't has been supporting since the war began. We have been on the same side as ISIS in the Syrian conflict .. Our radical Islamist forces in Syria need recruits do they not ?

Syria is a Secular Muslim nation. The infidels in western nations are bad enough .. a "Secular" Muslim nation in right in the ME ? - this is a cancer from within.

If you can believe it - in Syria they have freedom of Religion. There are Christian Churches and Assad even has Christian generals in his army - Allah forbids this. Women wear skirts and proper bathing suits. There is no sharia. Gays are not thrown of buildings and there is no death penalty for apostasy. Women do not need to ask a man to be educated and they are not stoned for adultery. People are allowed to freely drink alcohol and bars and dance to western music --- "The Horror".

On the other side are the Holy Jihadists (aka rebel opposition). The whole call to Jihad is to get rid of the evil "Secularism" and turn Syria into an Islamic State where Sharia is the law of the land.

For those who do not know the conflict well - ISIS in Syria did not really exist as much of an entity in the beginning. It was in 2013 that various Salafist Islamist groups (Al Nusra/Al Qaeda and Islamic Front being a couple of the larger groups) and foreign fighters coalesced into the modern incarnation of ISIS. These are "Our Boys". This is/was our proxy army.

It was only after our dog ISIS in Syria went off its leash and went into Iraq in 2014 that the problem started. We then had a dilemma. We were fighting ISIS in Iraq but supporting and arming them in Syria.
