Immigration Stance Proves Democrats Don’t Really Care About Gun Violence

For the most part, it was reported, the guns were mostly turned in, I suppose there were "lost guns" that were not turned in, I saw such an example, it was a former Colt of some type, Parkerized, barrel sawed off, pounded almost flat, a S&W originally .455 ?

Without the equipment and resources, Britain would have fallen and the US never would have sent over the men. We could refer to US protection too of the Atlantic convoys. Not sure pistols helped much there mind you

 

After Dunkirk, the UK was scrambling and panicked. Tons of ammunition and guns left on the beach. Britain was teetering on the brink, and begged the U.S. for help.

The American people took every spare firearm they had and sent them over to help arm the Home Guard. I had an uncle who lived in Scotland, and he said those guns were a source of relief and soaring morale. As he put it, those guns "helped stiffen our resolve" and they helped the British people feel like they had a fighting chance in case "Jerry" tried to invade.

Sometimes improving morale and giving people hope can be as powerful a weapon of war as tanks.

 

What a load of guff! Dunkirk was used to give hope. That was then accentuated by the Battle of Britain and El Alamein.

Now we should never underestimate America's role in the war. However, exaggerating firearm provision is cretinous. Not one of my family mentioned it as it wasn't on their radar. Admittedly one of them was a little biased as his mates were accidentally killed by the USAF

 

Well, I have plenty of family who were in Britain during the war and they have a very different take on it than you do. Frankly, they'd say you're the one who doesn't have his facts straight; but oh well.
