There is a belief, I would label Pollyanna, that GOD wouldn't let humans suffer real hardship, as a species, or man's ingenuity will stop any such hardships JUST BEFORE they start in earnest. Or aliens monitoring our human nature, will save us from ourselves. OR, simply, who cares, I will be long dead by then.

Here is what I learned as a patient grower, using INDOOR hydroponic technology, to simulate the perfect climate etc.

You CAN use enhanced CO2 content, to increase yields. AND, it even helps to allow plants to tolerate increased temperatures, due to enclosed global warming, due to high intensity light heat output.

Sounds like a win win utopia, right? As in all things, the devil is in the details.

Water ph, is a measure of acidity, or alkylinity of the medium of irrigation. The reason to monitor it is not taste, or some aesthetic, but it's ability to retain oxygen. Only a narrow region is anywhere near able to support oxygenation as intended.

In addition to this PH inherent oxygen carrying capacity, heat has a vast and detrimental effect on this oxygen carrying capacity of the irrigation medium. This is why both aquariums, and grows, use chillers for their reservoirs.

In addition to these effects of enhanced CO2 absorption, there are a few others. The water requirements are VASTLY increased. This works on the tiny scale of a patient grow, but not expanded to farming proper. Or nature in general. In addition to vastly increased water demands, the soil is stripped of nutrients. Therefore they must be supplemented radically with petrochemical based solutions.

That isn't even the worst part, these petrochemical based solutions, are comprised of chemical salts. This saltyness builds up and makes complete replacement of growing medium a necessity of a closed system indoor grow.

This also is not too big a deal for the patient grower, but impossible on a global scale.

So, enhanced CO2 content, as is occurring to our planet, will require far more water than now, and will require INTENSE FARMING, which will require we RUIN our productive fields, and use migratory farming, with all it's increased labor.

And there will be NOTHING we can do to help the water based creatures and plants, which both use the oxygen, and replace it. Due to the PH imbalance, and the increased heat input. This increased heat input, will also drive much more radical weather activity, which will further affect yields.

Folks, you can mock DOOMERS all you like, and remain smug in your certitude that you will be long dead before your progeny curse your name, but global climate change aint organic, and sure the hell aint gonna make happy plants.

Yep, for scientists aquatic system of the earth is a big stainless steel bath tub in a sterile laboratory.
One cannot breath out CO2 near it without being eaten by acidity.
One should not let scientists to come even close to water to save water based creatures and plants.
Scientists are quite zealous and delusional species.
They can mess things up quite noticeably.
