Of course. Even Obama said that the manufacturing jobs are all gone :)

And of course American consumers like to buy cheap wares, no argument there. What to do about it is above my paygrade. Still, the playing field should be as level as possible and is what Trump is trying to achieve.

    Keep faith in Trump.

The sunny days will follow after he has pushed the country into recession.

Raise tariffs on imported products from low wage, no environmental standards, government subsidized nations

    Realy?

Because you think that if Chinese products are no longer attractive, no other country will take their place?... Or miraculously Americans will turn to more expensive manufactured US products.

How will Trump prevent Walmart, Target and others from buying in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh?

Of course the solution is simple: start a trade war with each of them....

Life is so simple in the Trumpster world.

If it is a.choice of growing Sri Lanka or china I prefer to be taken advantage of by the sri lankans because they pose no strategic threat to the US

    China does

But that would still not meet the goal of keeping America strong and American middle class income high

Returning jobs to America will contribute to both those goals

I looked into it for my prior employer and found that there are lots of good companies in the United States that have advanced call centers, staffed with Americans. Small and medium sizes companies outsource their customer service to those companies. Works out pretty good for the money, considering that it eliminates the need for call center infrastructure and drastically reduces the number of customer service employees, leaving only the most skilled ones left to handle the most complicated cases. I think India will start losing American business due to American call center companies popping into existence.

The tariffs on India have absolutely nothing to do with child labour.
I am not against or for tariffs, they certainly can be used as a lever to get results we would like globally (for example India benefits from lower tariffs as a developing nation on the notion that regional stability and economic development in the world's second most populous country is important and to be encouraged).
Since you were in the industry, I would like to hear who you thought is most responsible for the reduction in child labour world wide in the US. My guess would be labor unions, and liberal activists (ie grass root movements boycotting Nike for example), but I could be wrong.

2.9% growth in 2018 while unemployment is below 4%.

    We expect 2.4% in 2019....

The booming is so strong that the FED plans to lower rates within three months so that we can hit the wall as late as possible.

Words do not have the same definition for Trumpsters as for the rest of the world.

The economy is indeed booming, your pessimism notwithstanding. The unemployment is under 4%? Thank you, president Trump.

No president can give you everything he’ promised, Obama being good example. And from Trump we did not expect much to begin with, right?

Trump is doing just fine, and so are we.

In fact, he promised a lot of things.

A growth rate that exceeds 5% thanks to "the most extraordinary tax cuts in US history"....

He claimed that the statistics concerning the unemployment rate under Obama (4.7%) were false and that in fact it was around 42%.....

    And the list goes on......

But hey, you're in love, so no logic can reach you.
