you're way off base by continuing to support the false logic

In any event, please explain to me how insurance regulations or even better, Social Security is fair to a single person and treats them the same as a married person. So, if we give you your gay marriage, the govt is still screwing the pooch.

No sir, bigger govt is not the answer, but your leftist ideology can't stop you from wanting more govt.

I have no problem with any two consenting adults marrying. There is a valid objection to incestuous marriages though, such as a legal kinship already exists, so marriage would be redundant, and the possibility of coercion.

my pointing out your logical fallacies is not "false logic".

does a single person share financial responsibilities with anyone? does a single person have an insurable interest in insuring the health or life of another person they are not financially responsible for?
    equal rights is the answer.

I thought marraige was about love though???? and not stuff like a gay man who can't afford his own health insurance marrying another guy so gay #1 can be insured for a reduced cost he wasn't entitled to to begin with

love is not a requirement of marriage. right now, two platonic opposite sex people can marry. all the legal institution of marriage does is create a legal kinship where none existed

How is incest the same as two unrelated homosexual people marrying?

First cousin marriages are legal, in some states, and recognized by the federal government.
    Go for it.

I did marry the one I love(who is of the opposite sex by the way, you guys always assume people arguing against bigotry must be gay)but love is irrelevant, and not required in order to marry.

I was saying "you" in the strict sense of "gay"

I really don't care who you boink.... but alas, your failure in thinking it's bigotry when i have never ONCE argued to deny gays any rights.

Maybe it isn't always "bigotry" per se... but it is effective to bore straight toward the goal we seek and that is equal rights. No matter what you say, that typically flushes out the BIGOTS and their thinking.

You should not be shocked that bigotry usually raises its ugly head, surrounding this and related topics. And a lot of the commentary is surely tainted by bigoted thinking.

One does not need to be standing directly over a pile of feces (in this case "bigotry") to detect that it is near.

you aren't being denied a right to a job because you're gay
    you aren't being denied housing
you aren't being denied who you can live with and stick your peter in....

marriage is not a right since you have civil unions. you are being denied a privledge.

    error 404: no rights found

You can be denied a job because you're gay in some states.
You can be denied housing because you're gay in some states.
Until the USSC made a ruling you could be criminally convicted for living with a same sex partner.

Marriage IS a right as has been determined by the USSC in several cases.

marriage is of course right. see loving v virginia. and not everyone can have civil unions. not every state has them, nor does the federal govn't recognize any of them.

liberal judges saying it's a right to promote their own agenda /=right.

it's simply a flavor of the times ruling. Brothers can't marry.... but someday, some liberal judge will rule that it is ok and progressives everywhere will argue that those who don't support incest marriage are incestaphobes.

good thing my morals aren't of the "choose your own adventure" kind and they are rock solid and will be the same tomorrow as they are today.

You do realize that morals are subjective, right?

YOU are perfectly free to live by your morals, but can not force me to live by them.
MY morals say that all American citizens should be treated equally under the laws of this country, as long as they aren't harming others.

uh yea that makes it a right. and can you tell me which judges were pushing their liberal agenda in the loving case?

good for you. your morales are your business, and you have a right to them. you do not have the right however to use YOUR morals to legislate away or deny the rights of others.
